We’re not your average school. Since 1999, Lafayette has been a therapeutic day school serving K–12 students with emotional & behavioral disabilities in Charlottesville, VA. Our mission? Use trauma-informed care, data, and relationships to help students heal, grow, and return to the least restrictive environment—or move forward in life with confidence.

• Holds or is working toward a Virginia Special Ed (K–12) endorsement (general curriculum preferred but not required)
• Lives and breathes relationship-based, trauma-informed teaching
• Has grit, compassion, and a heart that won’t quit
• Thrives in a tight-knit, therapeutic, mission-driven team

🎯 In this role, you will:
• Teach K–12 students in an intensive therapeutic setting
• Collaborate with counselors and therapists
• Use data and evidence-based strategies to support academic and emotional progress
• Help students build critical skills: regulation, connection, academic readiness
