The Miami Montessori School was established in 1979 in Troy, Ohio with the goal of offering the life-long benefits of a Montessori education to the six children who would become the first alumni. Embedded in the school's Montessori philosophy was (and continues to be) the principle that each student should have the opportunity to be engaged in a rich, hands-on curriculum that challenges each stude

nt to grow at his/her individual pace. Three decades later, the dedicated staff continues to offer a Montessori education for the children of The Greater Miami Valley, Miami County and the surrounding communities. Affiliated with the American Montessori Society and having a State of Ohio chartered elementary program, Miami Montessori is now home to over 70 children ages 2.5 - 12.
