~I am committed to the University at Albany and will be starting in the fall. I will be majoring in Psychology and going into the Pre-Law 3+3 joint degree program to become a family lawyer.

~I would love to shout out all my teachers; they have all made my years more wonderful. Especially Ms. Collard for letting me rant to her, letting me sit in her classroom every morning for almost 3 years now and giving excellent advice when I needed it. Also, Ms. Behrens, because she made me love math again, is literally my best friend and pretends to have beef with me.

If you did NOT purchase a KMS Yearbook yet, now is your last chance. Yearbooks are $25 (cash or check made out to "KMS PTA") and can be purchased in the KMS Main Office from Ms. Haughney or Mrs. Frazee.

Lansingburgh Knights Track and Field/XC

8th-grade social studies students visited New York City in late May for a guided tour of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, giving them an opportunity to better understand the significance of that day and pay tribute to those lost on it.

After the museum, they walked to a Chick-fil-A for lunch and finished the day at the top of One World Trade Center (aka the Freedom Tower), where they could see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

Thank you to The Mary Fund for generously supporting this trip by providing the transportation to NYC!

~I’m taking a year off from school. I want to focus on improving my skills in dance, singing, and acting. Hopefully spend some time in the city.

~I’d like to say thank you to Mr. Ravalli for always being there for me and being the person I can always share a good laugh with. I would also like to shout out Mrs. Ferris, Mr. Sudduth, and Mr. Rowlands. They’ve always pushed me to do better than my best and turn my life into the best one ever, on and off stage. Because of them, I'm continuing to do what I love, hopefully, for the rest of my life.

All of my teachers have made my experience absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I love you all. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be who I am, so thank you.

Lansingburgh Schools Drama Programs

Thank you to award-winning science and nature author Anita Sanchez for visiting Rensselaer Park Elementary in May! Anita presented to students in each grade throughout the day, taking them through her research and writing process. Many of Anita's books explore some of nature's lesser-loved and underappreciated subjects: dandelions, poison ivy, puddles, bats, tarantulas, etc. Shout out to RPES Reading Teacher, Mrs. Ellison, for arranging this visit!
