Starting as most small, rural businesses do, the concept behind ventURE @ The Mercantile was born out of necessity. Jonathan, co-founder, made a valiant attempt at completing a doctoral dissertation at home, in coffee shops, and libraries across Randolph and Montgomery counties, only to find that most places closed early each night or weren’t great for being productive. Finding that not only were

students without a space to be productive, but so were many small businesses and traveling professionals, opportunities began to materialized that led to the creation of ventURE Hives

ventURE Hives, an innovative resource for rural communities to provide attractive, professional co-working and learning spaces, seeks to attract and engage professional Millennials in rural communities. ventURE Hives is a network of co-working and classroom spaces serving rural communities with collaboration, learning, and productivity options.
