*Thursday, September 8th Official First Day of School

Kindness Day at preschool today in honor of Gabby Ellis!! These projects will go to some special people as an act of kindness from the children.

*The last picture captures a special moment between Miss Gail and the kids. She was having a discussion with them about being kind. They all chimed in...on their own...that she is the best teacher, they love her, etc.etc. As you can see it touched her teacher heart so much!! She then had to explain what "happy tears" are. It was a precious moment of goosebumps and the proof that children often times teach us more than we teach them. 💜

Our new school year is fast approaching and we are working on getting the classroom ready for the sound of little feet!!

We would like to welcome a new staff member this fall! Elizabeth Widener will be joining us as an assistant teacher!! Miss Liz has a background in Early Childhood Education and and love for children! She is looking forward to being a part of our preschool family!!

Only a few spots left in our Monday Wednesday Friday PM class for 4 and 5 year olds!!

That class is from 12:30-3:00pm. The cost is $160 per month from September-May with a one time, nonrefundable registration fee.

All other classes are currently full but we are taking names for the waiting list.

First picture--The Tuesday/Thursday kids enjoying their movie. It was so sweet to see them all comfy in their PJ's!!

Second and third pictures--The Monday Wednesday Friday classes shoes all lined up in a neat row while they watched their movie. The only directions that were given were to put their shoes on the blue line that we use at arrival and dismissal...not just one but BOTH classes did this!! It's the little things that warm a preschool teacher's heart!!

Here is some important information and dates:

Tuesday, February 16th-Registration for CURRENT families.
Monday, February 22nd- Registration for ALUMNI families.
Monday, March 1st- Registration opens to PUBLIC.

Classes offered-
Monday Wednesday Friday AM- 9:00-11:30am
Monday Wednesday Friday PM-12:30-3:00pm

(These classes are for 4 and 5 year olds that plan to attend Kindergarten the following school year)

$160 per month from September-May
$75 Registration fee

Tuesday Thursday AM- 9:00-11:30am
(This class is for 3 and young 4 year olds that do not plan to attend Kindergarten the following school year)

$125 per month from September-May
$75 Registration fee

Children are NOT required to wear masks.

All children must be at least 3 and potty trained by August 1st.

We do not plan to have an open house but can schedule individual tours .

Registration forms can be mailed or emailed.

Classes tend to fill quickly so be sure to sign up soon!!

(For those that don't know...we had to move classrooms from one part of our building to another because of water damage that we found at the end of the summer. It was quite a process but we found it to be a blessing in disguise!! We are so very grateful for the support we have been given by our own families, preschool families and the Stouder Center staff!!)

It's time!!! Tomorrow we start the first of three open house times to welcome our 2020-2021 preschool classes!! You can attend any one of the open houses regardless of which day your child is registered. You do not need to stay for the entire time--plan for about 15-20 minutes of a visit. If you cannot make the open house please let us know.
Parents--
An email was sent out on Friday with some details. The email has attachments of required paperwork (that needs to be turned in at open house and the parent handbook (for you to read and keep at home.) We will have paper copies of both of those items available at open house, as well.
Reminder that we have moved to a new classroom in the same building. Look for the signs around the old entrance to guide you to the new one.

The 2020-2021 school year is fast approaching and we are getting ready!!!

*Welcome letters will be emailed by the end of the week. The letter will include orientation dates and times and other important start of the school year information. (We will start the week of Labor Day.) Thank you for your patience on the delay of this information as we worked through updates from our state licensing office. We were pleased to be officially informed this week that our classs ratios were set back to normal so we will no longer have to split our classroom into separate classes!!


*We welcome a new teacher this school year. Miss Gail will be joining Miss Laura and I in the classroom. She was a substitute teacher for us last year and is looking forward to meeting everyone!

*We use the Remind app as part of our communication with families. I will be sending out a member request to new enrollees soon.

*We still have a few openings for this fall. If you know of anyone that would like to sign their child up, have them call 937-694-1685 or send a message on our page. We are so very grateful for your referrals!!
