Tuition is due the first day of class. A contact list will be made available to all students.

SCENE STUDY AND TECHNIQUE CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED STUDENTS

Classes taught at The Theatre Institute at Sage College in Troy, NY and at The Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill, NY. A one hour private coaching session is included in your tuition cost. Payment of $325 for the 8 week course is non refundable, refunds will only be issued as class credit redeemable for up to one y

ear. Private coaching can be scheduled either at the Theatre Institute at Sage College or via Skype. We also have provided a private group page on Facebook that is used for networking and school news. We encourage you to use it. In the event of a class cancellation you will be notified by both email and through our page. Classes are ongoing and each student plans their own 8 week session. We understand that people have busy lives and have designed our school to be flexible to your needs, however we are a professional company and expect our students to behave accordingly. In order to be credited for missed classes, advance notice must be given. Scene work is dependant on you being there. If you are involved in a scene and cannot make class, you must also notify your partners. If your scene partner cannot make class, students are encouraged to work on other projects to make the most of their time. We are an ensemble based company. Watching your fellow students progress is just as important as your own. Rehearsal with a scene partner outside of class is required. Courtesy and respect to fellow students are paramount to our training program. Only positive and constructive comments during class work are allowed. We work with students of all ages and abilities. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. The use of cellphones is prohibited, no gum chewing or eating during class. Books borrowed from the lending library must be returned after two weeks. The Blue Horse Repertory Company Acting School or The Theatre Institute at Sage College shall not be held liable in the event of accident or injury. Students perform and work at their own risk. All students are welcome to apply for our quarterly scholarships. In order to be eligible, students must have completed one 8 week session prior to applying. A one page essay explaining why they should be considered is required. Applicants are chosen by the Blue Horse Repertory Company administration. Scholarships will be determined by financial need, past attendance and to those students who have displayed a strong work effort and team spirit. If students are not awarded a scholarship they are free to reapply at a later date,

We have a few slots open for our spring/summer sessions at the Blue Horse Repertory Company Acting School at the Theatre Institute at Sage College. We meet every Monday night from 5:30-8pm. Ongoing 8 scene study and technique week class that you may join at anytime taught by artistic director Lora Lee Ecobelli . Adult students of all ages and abilities are welcome . The cost of the 8 week course is $250.

In addition, we offer performance opportunities, private coaching and master classes taught by industry professionals through out the year.

Hi everyone,

I am very sorry about having to cancel class yesterday, but I wanted to make sure that no one was traveling in bad weather.
We have students with various needs and some who travel from long distances so safety is my upmost concern. We will always have a make up class is there is a cancellation. For the future, please check this page or your email in the event of inclement weather or you can text me at 845 721-2493.

We will be having a Zoom make up class this Friday 2/27 at 6pm. Let me know if you will be attending and I will send you an invite.

BLUE HORSE REP SENIOR ZOOM CLASS

In addition to our popular acting school at the Theatre Institute at Sage College, The Blue Horse Repertory Company is proud to announce a brand new ZOOM acting class for seniors 55-100. The class is open to seniors of all abilities from beginners to seasoned professionals. We understand that it is not always easy to attend our in person classes at the Theatre Institute at Sage College but you can still develop your craft in our weekly ZOOM drop in class every Saturday morning starting March 7, 2026. If you have always wanted to explore acting in a supportive and nurturing environment you can now develop your dream from the comfort of your own home. The class will run from 10am-12pm and is only $10 per class. You may pay per class or by a 10 week bundle for $100. The weekly class will focus on acting techniques, monologues, acting exercises and audition prep. The class will be taught by The Blue Horse Rep Artistic Director Lora Lee Ecobelli and occasional guest artists. For more information and to register contact: [email protected] or 845 721-2493. Lora Lee Ecobelli is an award winning Actress, Filmmaker, Writer, Director and Teacher.

As a actress, Lora Lee has performed both On and Off-Broadway and in regional theatre’s
throughout the country in leading roles from the contemporary to the classics. She can also be seen in many independent films and television

Lora Lee is the recipient of the Harold Clurman award for best leading actress in an off broadway
play for her performance in The Vice by Luigi Pirandello.
As a filmmaker and director, she is committed to telling personal women’s stories. Her experimental film La Transazione, which she wrote and directed has stacked up numerous best picture awards at film festivals around the globe including the prestigious Cannes Short Film Festival.
Her Latest film Laurina is currently on the festival circuit.

Lora Lee is the Artistic director of The Blue Horse Repertory Company, a Hudson Valley
Theatre Collective. She has taught a popular adult acting program at The Theatre Institute at Sage
College for the past twelve years.

Hi Blue Horses,

We’ve had a fantastic year at Blue Horse Rep. We have done some amazing projects together and our community continues to grow . I have watched you gain confidence and deepen your craft and I’m so proud of the supportive environment we have fostered. I am very grateful to witness your ongoing creative journey.
