Sometimes I tease that I was changing diapers while I was still in diapers, but looking back I'm not so sure if it's really a tease at all; growing up I don't ever remember a day that I was not surrounded by children, nor do I recall a single moment where I wished my surroundings were different. Being raised in a family of 8 and growing up in a family day-care, owned by my mother, was all I needed

to ignite my passion for children. My life revolved around children, I was enthralled by their enthusiasm for life and amazed at their ability to learn. I spent my high school years nurturing my love for children while helping them along their developmental paths. As I grew older and the time came for me to choose a career it didn't take much for me to realize where to put my energies. I wanted an occupation where I could make a difference, a job I would love doing everyday, and most of all I wanted to work with infants and toddlers. Choosing to get my degree in Early Childhood Education and open a daycare was not just a choice of careers for me but a decision to continue on the passionate path I have been following my whole life.
