A simple way to learn chord structures is this:

On a sheet of paper write the names of every chord you can think of in a column on the left. Next to each name write the numbers 1-7. For example:

Major 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Minor 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Maj7 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Sus2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Sus4 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Now, start building chords by circling the numbers (scale degrees)

Major 1 3 5
Minor 1 b3 5
7 1 3 5 b7
Maj7 1 3 5 7
Sus2 1 2 5
Sus4 1 4 5

Dim 1 b3 b5
Aug 1 3 #5
Add9 Add the 2nd degree an
octave higher.
11 Add the 4th degree an
octave higher
13 Add the 6th degree an
octave higher

Now write all of the major keys:

A B C # D E F # G #
B C # D # E F # G # A #
C D E F G A B
D E F # G A B C #
E F # G # A B C # D #
F G A bB C D E
G A B C D E F #

To build a chord simply find the notes that thats match the scale degrees for each chord.

Amaj AC
Amin ACE
A7 AC
Amaj7 AC #
Asus2 ABE
Asus4 ADE

And so on.....
