The East Greenbush Police Department was proud to host Sydney Collins as part of her Questar III Criminal Justice two week part-time internship. Sydney is also a member of our Shared Services Cadet Program and spent time learning firsthand about the many responsibilities handled by law enforcement and emergency services personnel.

During her internship, Sydney observed and assisted with a variety of police-related activities including:

* Traffic enforcement and vehicle stops
* Radio and dispatch communications
* Booking procedures
* Parking enforcement
* DOT inspections
* EMS and emotionally disturbed person calls
* Property complaints and disputes
* Follow-ups
* Motor vehicle incidents
* Community and neighborhood-related calls

Throughout her internship, Sydney demonstrated professionalism, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn. We are proud of the effort she put into the program and look forward to seeing where her future in criminal justice takes her.

They did it!!! Congratulations class of 2026, you successfully completed a three day national exam that covered all the material learned in two years. I’m very proud of you! Special thank you to our proctors from Troy Police Department
