Hello all! If you can spare a little time to take this survey for a class project, it would be greatly appreciated!
It aims to see if location has an effect on gender/sustainability, and how gender identity affects sustainable decision-making and thought processes. You’re encouraged to share this with others who may be interested as well! Thank you!

Happy Earth Day from SSTF! On this day, we would like to take this opportunity to strengthen our working relationship with the RPI administration, faculty, and staff through the establishment of an Office of Sustainability at RPI.
The Office would be run by a Sustainability Director, who will represent environmental and sustainability interests within the RPI administration, and would provide numerous benefits bringing students, staff, and more together to organize and create real, lasting change.
In our mission to secure Student Senate approval for this plan, we hope you will support us by signing our petition, linked below, which also includes a more detailed description of our proposal.
We welcome feedback (please direct correspondence to [email protected] and [email protected]) and hope you'll share this petition with other RPI members of the RPI community!

ATTENTION ALL RPI STUDENTS CURRENTLY LIVING ON CAMPUS:
If you participate in recycling (as you should), please sign up for a free recycling bin to place in your living space!
Recycling is important in lessening pollution found on our campus and around the Troy area. It supports repurposing already made materials and promotes sustainability.
As opposed to using a cardboard box or piling up your recycled materials in a corner, a free bin could provide you with better placement and organization for the recyclable goods that you can then place in the larger recycling collection space in your on campus dorm/apartment complex/etc.
Here is the sign up link:

"And in this system, if you don't own or buy a lot of stuff, you don't have value."
A powerful video that illustrates in various ways how environmental suffering and human suffering go hand-in-hand.
The Story of Stuff
This groundbreaking cartoon takes a closer look at how we make, use, and toss Stuff and calls us together to create a world that is more sustainable, just, and fun. Have you seen it yet?

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Earth Day celebration yesterday to share information on our Climate Action Plan Petition!
We are all about spreading awareness of the issues in our environment today and how we can help eliminate their impacts here on campus both as a community and as individuals in our everyday lives.
Our 250th signature for our petition was a student who has been passionate about what we put forward in the petition for a while.
We appreciate everyone who supported our efforts and signed. Change will be in the near future thanks to your support for our planet and every living thing on it!
