We had a great time celebrating Valentine’s and our 100th Day of school!

Wishing everyone a great weekend from School 2 after a fun Fri-yay! We had a RISE celebration and some of our 3rd Graders shared their writing with 2nd Grade (description below). Enjoy the photos!

Third graders celebrated completing their persuasive writing unit, Changing the world, by reading their persuasive speeches to second graders! Their topics covered deep concepts such as pet abuse, clean water and bullying. After the students shared their writing, they talked to the second graders about what third grade is like!

Last week we hosted our annual Career Day and had so many wonderful volunteers speak about their professions. Our students learned about so many different careers. Thank you to our guests!! Troy City School District

Thanks to George Paul at Daydreaming Camera 🎥 for coming in and sharing about his career as a videographer! Tomorrow is our Career Day and we have a lot of professionals coming in to discuss their careers. We hope to see everyone tomorrow for a great day!

A huge shoutout to Pi Kappa Alpha at RPI. We are so grateful for your generous donation and making sure each kid at School 2 got an awesome holiday gift.

Trunk or Treat was a huge success. Thanks to all of the teachers, staff and community organizations who made it possible. We were so glad to see so many amazing families celebrating with us in their awesome costumes!
