Questar III and HVCC STEM High School

This week, we're welcoming the newest cohort to STEM High School, our Class of 2030! Incoming freshmen are spending the week at school for Summer Bridge, a chance to familiarize themselves with the Hudson Valley Community College campus and prepare for a new school experience with new classmates.

Today, students went on a campus scavenger hunt, were issued their Chromebooks, and participated in a panel where they got to ask current students questions. Special thank you to Daniel Marble (Junior/Lansingburgh Central School District), Richard Anthony Salvatory III (Sophomore/East Greenbush Central School District), and Giuseppe Carbonaro (Sophomore/East Greenbush CSD) for being part of today's activities and welcoming our newest students.

On Monday, Questar III and HVCC STEM High School held awards ceremonies for students in grades 9–11. Students were recognized for their achievement and effort in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Health, and Design and Drawing for Production.

A select group of juniors also received STEM High School Scholarship Awards from colleges and universities, including Alfred University, Clarkson University, Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Rochester, Russell Sage College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and more.

On Monday, Questar III and HVCC STEM High School held their graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026! The ceremony was a wonderful celebration of the hard work these students put in over the last four years. 🎓🎉

Students heard remarks from Questar III BOCES Assistant Superintendent of CTE, Innovative High Schools, and Adult Education, Kevin Kolakowski; student speakers Cody Haskins and Meghan Re*****on; staff speakers Mr. James Munro and Mrs. Becky Lang; and commencement speaker Dr. Christopher McNally, Chairperson of the Applied Technologies Department at Hudson Valley Community College.

Cake and refreshments were served to graduates, their families, and friends following the ceremony.
