🌱🛠️ TEEF GRANTS IN ACTION! 🛠️🌱

There’s something special about seeing a TEEF grant go from an idea on paper to something students will actually use! 💙

The Troy Education Enhancement Foundation visited Mays Elementary School today for the groundbreaking of the new TEEF-funded raised garden beds! 🌿👩‍🌾

Thanks to a $3,450 TEEF Grant awarded to Rebekah Lackey, Pre-K through 2nd grade students will soon have a hands-on outdoor learning space where they can explore science, math, literacy, health, and social-emotional learning in a whole new way.

Students will have the opportunity to learn about seeds, plant life cycles, growing zones, propagation, and harvesting — while also developing important skills like responsibility, teamwork, and cooperation.

And this project is truly a community effort! The Bell County Master Gardeners are providing gardening expertise and support, while the Raymond Mays Middle School shop class is helped build planter boxes for the project. 🪚🌱

We love seeing the partnerships that grow from a TEEF grant — and we can’t wait to watch these garden beds grow right alongside our students! 🌻

This is what TEEF Grants in Action looks like! 💙
