🎶🎶Albany Symphony Orchestra has again generously provided free passes to 11 of their upcoming performances for this season!! On the Saturday before the show, we will begin having two passes (each good for 2 free tickets), which will admit you to the following week's performance. These passes will only be available at the Main Library, and you can check for availability in the online catalog by searching Albany Symphony, or you can contact the library.

The first show is 🎻Rome, Romance & Rising Stars 🎻 at 7:30PM at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, October 3. Passes will be available at the library beginning at 10 AM on September 26. Passes are available on a first-come, first served basis at the information desk.

The next show that will be available is Passion & Power: Brahms & Elgar at 3:30PM at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Saturday, November 7. Library passes will be available on October 31.

🚗 You can park on 2nd ST, or any of the adjacent streets to walk to our Main Library. Be mindful of any parking restriction signs!
🚐 Using CDTA? Here are the closest stops: Congress Station (3rd St & Congress St) 3min walk, 3rd St & Ferry St 4min walk, Ferry St & 3rd St 4min walk

TPL MAIN LIBRARY:
🚗 You can park on 4th AVE or 114th ST, or any of the adjacent streets to walk to our Lansingburgh Branch Library. We also have parking lot!
🚐 Using CDTA? Take any 85 CDTA bus and the closest stop will be the 5th Ave & 114th ST stop.

🗳️ It’s time to vote Troy! The Troy Public Library 2027 Budget Vote and Trustee Election will be taking place this coming Tuesday 9/22 from 9AM- 8PM at *both* TPL locations.
⭐️ TPL Main Library, 100 2nd ST
⭐️ TPL Lansingburgh Branch, 27 114th ST

⭐️ Other important information/deadlines:
- Monday, September 21, 2026 – 6:00 PM
Deadline to submit an absentee ballot application (available to print on our website or pick-up in person) and pick up your ballot in person
- Tuesday, September 22, 2026 – 5:00 PM
All completed absentee ballots, whether mailed or delivered in person, must be received by the Library no later than 5:00 PM on Election Day to be counted
