Hello,

Welcome to Lahser Community Connections of Troy Lahser Pre-Vocational Center is a nonprofit rehabilitation center established in 1979.

We provide services and opportunities to individuals with disabilities and offer an array of services including skill building, pre-vocational and vocational services. Lahser Pre-Vocational Center is committed to ensuring that participants are afforded the same access to the community as those who do not have disabilities.

The Untouchables learned about the seven days of the week and participated in activities designed to help them recognize, identify, and sequence each day.

Through hands on learning and engaging activities, individuals practice, important cognitive skills while building their understanding of daily routines and time concepts.

Several of our groups participated in a fun and creative, summer bucket list, sunglasses activity! Individuals decorated sunglasses and filled them with ideas of things they would like to do, see, and experience this summer.

This activity encourage creativity goal, setting, self expression, and positive conversations of summer adventure. From vacation and outdoor fund the entire family and friends everyone had unique ideas for making the most of the season!

We love, seeing all the creativity and excitement for summer shine through!

The Troublemakers learned about tea and the process of how it is made. They explored different types of tea and discussed how tea has been enjoyed around the world for generations.

After their lesson, everyone got creative by designing and decorating their own beautiful teacup craft. This fun activity, combined learning, creativity, and find motor skills while giving individuals the opportunity to express themselves through art.

It was a wonderful day filled with learning, creativity and tea inspired fun!

The Troublemakers celebrated friendship by creating colorful friendship, gumball machines each individual wrote the names of their peers on gumball, cut outs, and then use their cutting and pasting skills to assemble their creative masterpieces.

This fun activity encouraged friendship, social connections, fine motor skills, and creativity while helping individuals recognize and appreciate the special people around them.

The Troublemakers dreamed, big, planning their perfect vacation! They picked destinations and then got creative, cutting out and designing their own suitcases and clothing. Each one chose what they’d pack for their dream trip from cool outfits so must have items!

This activity inspired imagination decision-making, and some fun travel daydreams.

The Troublemakers learned the meaning of Memorial Day and why we honor the brave man and women who have served our country as part of the lesson. They completed Memorial Day themed activities, that helped reinforce counting number, recognition and color identification skills. 

This fun and educational activity, combined learning and creativity while helping individuals build important cognitive skills. Great job, Troublemakers!

The Troublemakers put their creativity in heart felt thoughts, into making special cards for their loved ones through kind words, drawings and personal messages they expressed their appreciation for the people who are important to them and shared how much they miss them.

This meaningful activity encourage communication, self expression, and gratitude while reminding us the importance of staying connected with those we care about .

The Terrific Titans talked learned how postcards can be used to share memories and send messages to family and friends. They also learned about mailing items and how the postal system helps deliver letters and postcards to people near and far. They created their own unique postcards for the last store inspired by Michigan.

The Troublemakers made summer bucket lists. They put their thinking skills and creativity to work and brainstorm activities, places to visit and goals that they would like to accomplish during the summer months. 

This activity encourage planning decision-making, self expression and imagination while helping everyone think about the many exciting possibilities summer has to offer.

The Terrific Titans learned about making license plates by watching how license plates are created and produced. They discussed the important role license plates, play in identifying vehicles and keep our roads organized. After learning about this unique career, everyone designed their own creative license plates featuring places they would love to travel someday!

A fun day of career, exploration, creativity, and dreaming about future adventures!
