The slight risk and flood watch were expanded north.

Rain storms today will lead to a flooding chance across parts of the area. Some of the storms could have very heavy rain. Most areas will see 1-2 inches of rain but we could see more in a few places.

Severe weather is also a threat today. Be prepared forna few stronger to severe storms later today.

A line of storms is starting to move through. There is nothing severe at the moment.

A chance of severe weather later this afternoon and evening. We have a better shot tomorrow. Heavy rain is possible eqchnday which could lead to some localized flooding.

After a nice day today we have more rain and storms coming.

While Michigan only averages around 15 tornadoes each year we have been over the average 7 of the last 11 years. But even being over the average most of the years our total tornado count is around average.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning. This is mainly for large hail, but winds of 60mph could happen as well.

A look at the radar as of 10am. The thumb is getting some rain now. I expect the rest of the area to get rain as we move later into the day.

Today will be a welcome break from the heat and humidity.
