What a great night at the Motion Picture Institute!

Our Open House was a huge success, with an impressive group of future filmmakers joining us for an interactive film shoot on our soundstage. If you were there, tell us what you thought in the comments!

Here’s the scene created during the event.

We met some excellent candidates for the handful of seats still available in our September 2026 classes. If you’re ready to turn your passion for filmmaking into professional production skills, now is the time to apply.

🎬 Tonight's Open House was a blast!

Our guests got a front-row seat to the filmmaking process as we wrote, rehearsed, lit, filmed, and then edited a live scene right before their eyes. Seeing a project come together from script to screen in a single evening is one of the best ways to experience how we teach at the Motion Picture Institute.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—and to our talented graduates, faculty, and actors who made tonight possible.

Think filmmaking might be your future? Come experience it for yourself at our next Open House.

One scene. One evening. One unforgettable experience.

At tonight's Motion Picture Institute Open House, our guests stepped onto a real film set, worked with our students and instructors, and helped create the scene you're about to watch.

This is what learning filmmaking at MPI looks like, hands-on and collaborative, and creative from day one.

If you missed tonight's event, don't worry.

Our next Open House is Thursday, July 30, from 6:00–8:00 PM.
