Why Life Coaching?
Have you ever really listened to someone? Intentional, focused and all-in listening? Has anyone ever listened to you in this manner? How did it make you feel? For most people this is a gift that is rarely experienced. However, when someone is truly listened to, she/he walks away with a sense of being valued, loved and cared for. It can be quite empowering!
Fondly, my parents recall when I was a child of 3 or 4 years of age and sitting on my daddy’s lap. I was trying to talk to him and he was distracted. So, in the wisdom of a child, I grabbed his ears and turned his head towards my face and stated, “Listen to me with your eyes!” Wow! Even children understand the need and desire to be listened to! How would this type of active listening affect a person’s life?
As a life coach, it is my desire and purpose to listen to you in such an empowering way. I have been where you are, and have asked the questions, “Is this all there is?” and “Why can’t I get from here to there?” I would like to encourage you that there is hope!
