JODY'S OBITUARY
Jody "Doc" Grizzle, age 53, passed away on July 14, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 28, 1970, to the late R.C. Grizzle and the late Marvene Moss Grizzle.
Jody is survived by his loving sister Sharon (Mike) Johnson; spouse Denise Grizzle; special niece Jessica Humphries; special cousin Sadie Dishman; aunts and uncle Josie Barrett, Leon Moss, Ann Ravan, Doris Weaver, Myrtle Grizzle, and Gail Grizzle; and best friends Gary Hodge, Jason Abercrombie, Randall West, and Scott Mincey.
Jody was a true enthusiast of racing, with a passion for both NASCAR and dirt track competitions. As a country boy, he found joy in the great outdoors through camping, hunting, and fishing. Known for his unwavering loyalty and boundless love for those closest to him, Jody was celebrated as not just a brother and spouse, but as a best friend whose kindness and generosity touched many lives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Kris Butler and Rev. Steve Barrett. Interment will follow at Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service begins.

Pickle Ball is ON this Wednesday, Feb. 7th. 54 degrees and sunny. 5-6:30pm at Achasta. Bring your own rackets and balls. The club house has a $14 pork loin sandwich and build your own pizza as the Wednesday specials for those who would like dinner afterwards. Hope to see you there.

Anyone want to rally for a bi-monthly pickleball meetup at Achasta Golf Club?

I think getting together for some friendly competition and shared laughs would be the perfect way to stay connected with our awesome classmates.

Location: Achasta Golf Club (those courts are lookin' fine!)
Frequency: Bi-monthly
Skill level: All welcome! From newbies like me to seasoned slammers, there's a place for everyone.
Gear: Bring your own paddles and balls. Just wear comfy clothes and shoes you can move in.

Good morning class of 88. I hope that everybody’s enjoying a very blessed week. I want to thank everyone who made our reunion such a great night. We definitely missed everyone that could not be there. We are hoping that this page can be utilized for updates concerning our class.
