Anyone wishing to address board members at the meeting about agenda items should fill out the request form on the website at least 24 hours before the meeting is scheduled to begin.

💙🖤 Mavericks Welcome Mr. Matthew Beckendorf!🖤💙

We are excited to welcome Matthew Beckendorf to Trimont Elementary, where he will be teaching 6th grade this school year!

Mr. Beckendorf earned his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and his Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Dakota.

🏡 Family: Mr. Beckendorf lives in St. James with his wife and their four children—three daughters and one son, who proudly holds the title of the youngest!

❄️ Favorite Season: Winter is his favorite time of year.

🏈 Local Roots: A graduate of Fairmont High School, he stayed active by playing football, basketball, and baseball.

🏟️ Fun Experiences: He's had the opportunity to step onto the fields at U.S. Bank Stadium and Target Field—for tours, not quite for game day!

📚 Teaching Journey: Mr. Beckendorf brings a wide range of experience, having taught students in every grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

✍️ A Unique Talent: During college, he taught himself to write left-handed to stay focused and engaged during classes with lengthy note-taking. Now that's dedication!

Please join us in giving Mr. Beckendorf a warm Maverick welcome! We are excited for the experience, enthusiasm, and heart for students that he brings to our school community. We know our 6th grade students are going to have an incredible year learning and growing with him!

💙🖤 Mavericks Welcome Jordon Smith! 🖤💙

We are excited to welcome Jordon Smith to Martin County West, Trimont Elementary as our new Special Education Teacher this school year! Ms. Smith is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College and was very busy this summer coordinating and educating Faribault County 4-H'ers as they prepared for the Fairbault County Fair.

🌱 Fun Fact: Jordon is the second daughter in a family of three girls.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Family: She enjoys spending time with her parents, two sisters, her niece and nephew, and their four dogs.

🐄 Hobbies: When she's not at school, you'll likely find her gardening, helping raise Miniature Herefords on her family's farm, golfing, or making memories with family and friends.

🎶 Just for Fun: Her dog's name is Reba, named after one of her favorite country music legends, Reba McEntire!

Please join us in giving Jordon a warm Maverick welcome! We are excited for the care, dedication, and enthusiasm she will bring to our students and school community.

Parents may now log into their Infinite Campus Parent Portal to view their student's schedule and teacher assignment for this school year.

If you need assistance getting into your parent portal, please call the Trimont Elementary Office at 507-639-2071.

We will not be holding individual conferences before school starts this year. Families are invited to visit their child's teacher during the Open House scheduled for August 18th from 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
