Hello Parents,
I’m offering homeschool education for students this year out of my home that is located in Triangle, Virginia. Most of the work your child does will be done via Chromebook and will be based on your child’s current grade level. I’ll personally be teaching science, social studies and reading groups.
I’m a retired teacher with 20+ years of experience. Having a smaller class size ensures that your student gets the personalized attention that they need and helps advance them quicker than their peers in public school. My current students are starting 3rd grade (age 7/8/8) and are all 3 girls. Their end of the year testing scores are off the charts. They’re very advanced due to the personal attention. At the end of their 2nd grade year, they tested in 4th and 5th grade. I can show this progress upon request.
I can also help you with submitting the correct documents to the county for compliance.
My rate is $20 per day. In addition, you will be responsible for paying the fees for all curriculum and providing your child’s Chromebook and daily lunch/snack.
We also are taking a beginner Spanish class 3 times per week. This will be an additional $10 per day ($30 for the week), for a grand total of $130 a week. Spanish class is not optional.
I can work around your work schedule (for an additional cost), but class time begins at 10:00 daily, so I’ll require students to be at my house, fed and ready to learn.
This year we will be working extra on mastering telling time and multiplication facts.
In addition we do a weekly art project and take a monthly field trip and I offer weekly progress reports.
We also have a book club once a week after class hours with other friends who come as well. We’re reading the Magic Treehouse series! (Additional charge - after school activity).
