Miley Chambers Drives In 4 To Lead Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines Past Gordon Lee

Miley Chambers drove in four runs on two hits to lead Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines past Gordon Lee 13-5 on Thursday. Chambers singled in the fifth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring two.
Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines won thanks in part to seven runs in the sixth inning. Madison Cain drew a walk, scoring one run, Kaleighly West singled, scoring one run, Chambers singled, scoring two runs, Addison Sorelle singled, scoring one run, and Tinsley Oxendine singled, scoring one run.
Gordon Lee opened the scoring in the second after Marley Stone grounded out, scoring one run.
Winter Daniel grounded out, which helped Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
In the top of the fourth, Gordon Lee broke up the tie when Kyleigh Custer singled, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice bunt by Kayden Narmore followed to extend the lead to 3-1.

Gordon Lee took the lead in the top of the fifth. Grace Shafer doubled, scoring two runs, to give Gordon Lee the advantage, 5-3.
Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines took the lead, 6-5, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Riley Talley, and Chambers.
West earned the win for Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines. The hurler allowed five hits and five runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out one and walking four. Laney Wilson opened the game for Gordon Lee. The hurler allowed three hits and five runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking eight.
Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines piled up 11 hits in the game. Daniel led Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines with three hits in five at bats. Talley collected two hits for Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines in four at bats. Sorelle paced Dade County Varsity Lady Wolverines with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game.
Shafer drove the middle of the lineup, leading Gordon Lee with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Paisley Johnson, Shafer, Stone, Wilson, and Custer each collected one hit for Gordon Lee. Gordon Lee stole four bases in the game.
