And we’re off! Mercer County SBA kicked off the new school year on a high note last night. Members jumped right into an engaging, interactive session with MCSBA officers and Taylor Law Group, tackling real-world scenarios involving social media and board members’ cell phone use. A big thank you to Taylor Law Group for sharing their expertise and providing valuable guidance to help our members navigate the challenging situations that come with school board leadership. NJSBA Good News: Passaic County Teacher of the Year Awarded NJEA Grant 💰

Passaic County Teacher of the Year 2025-2026, Ms. Alyssa Bitar, has been awarded the 2026 NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education Grant. Totaling over $8,000, this grant will support the continued development of STEAM Nights at Manchester Regional High School, now formally titled “Full STEAM Ahead into the Future: Building Together.” This funding will allow Manchester Regional to expand these events by providing additional materials, resources, and interactive experiences for students and families.
