The snow didn’t slow us down! Our days are full of learning, creativity, and fun as we stay well on our way through exciting studies and activities.

We are exploring Black History Month, creating magical Winter Wonderland projects, and celebrating the traditions of Chinese New Year.

Celebrating Saint Nicholas Day at Riverside!

Today, we welcome everyone to embrace the spirit of giving, kindness, and holiday cheer. Saint Nicholas Day is a special reminder to spread joy and make every moment meaningful.

Wishing everyone a warm and happy Saint Nicholas Day from all of us at Riverside!

Once again, the agents at Riverside Pediatric Medical Day Care have saved the day (and a whole lot of turkeys) with our annual Turkey in Disguise Contest!

These sneaky turkeys strutted in looking very suspicious… but thanks to some clever disguises, we almost forgot they were turkeys at all!

Here are our Top 4 Masterpieces of Misdirection:

🏆 Kya as Cookie Monster – This turkey had us craving cookies instead of Thanksgiving dinner. Totally effective. Zero suspicion.
🥈 Princess as Miss Roberta – So glamorous, so fancy, so perfectly disguised… we almost asked her for an autograph.
🥉 Chrome as Movie Popcorn – Popped right into our hearts (and out of danger).
🎖️Jaxson as Scarecrow – Classic, clever, and very “don’t eat me, I’m one of you!”

Thank you to all the families who participated! You all helped rescue turkeys everywhere from becoming someone’s holiday dinner. 🦃

Such a fun Halloween at Riverside Pediatric Medical Daycare!

The kids had a blasts trick-or-treating, jumping in the bounce house, and meeting our local heroes from the fire department.

So many smiles and laughs all day!

Our team has been busy creating some amazing Back-to-School Bulletin Boards, and now we need YOUR help to decide which one is the best!

Today was Dino-mite!🦖

We had a special showing of "4 Dinosaurs Sharing," directed and presented by one of our preschool stars!

With ROARING enthusiasm, she taught her friends all about sharing, taking turns, and being kind.

Big round of applause to our little leader and to all the amazing friends who joined in! Great job, everyone!

At Riverside Pediatric Medical Day Care, we don’t just care for kids, we help them grow!

We know sharing doesn’t always come naturally, so it’s a skill we practice and grow! Here are some simple ways you can encourage sharing at home:

- Model Sharing: Let your child see you share things (snacks, books, etc).
- Practice with Playtime: Board games, puzzles, and building sets naturally encourage turn taking.
- Read & Talk About It: Books about friendship and kindness can spark great conversations about sharing.
- Use Positive Praise: When your child shares, celebrate it! A simple “That was so kind of you!” goes a long way.
- Remember: Patience is key! Sharing is a skill, and with practice kids get better every day!

Today, we’re rolling out the red carpet for the one and only Mr. Tim, the man behind the wheel and the smiles every morning!

Whether it’s rain, shine, or snow, Mr. Tim shows up with a wave, a kind word, and the smoothest rides in town. Let’s show him some love!

Thank You, Ms. Tina!

Yesterday we said goodbye (for now!) to Ms. Tina, who spent the summer with us in the infant room. Calm, cool, and caring even under pressure, Tina made a big impact in a short time.

She’s heading back to Coppin State University to continue pursuing her RN license, and we know she’ll make an amazing nurse!

Don’t worry, you’ll see her again. She plans to return during school breaks and hopefully next summer.
