Wesclin DARE Program

Teaching students the D.A.R.E. Program in grades K-3 at Trenton Elementary and 5th Grade at Wesclin

Wesclin DARE Program is teaching students in grades K-3 and Fifth Grade. In grades K-2 students are taught an eight week program with topics of; Who to Call in an Emergency, Why it is Safe to Follow Directions, What is Safe to Touch, Taste, Smell and Eat, Why its Important to Know Your Surroundings, What to Do If Approached by a Stranger, Feelings, What to Do When Angry and What to Do When We See

or Hear Hurtful Behavior. Third Grade is taught a 4 week program with topics of; Laws and Rules to Keep Safe, Becoming a Good Citizen, Drugs May Help or Harm and Handling Conflicts Without Bullying or Violence. Fifth Grade is taught a 10 week program with topics of; Keeping it Real, Drug Information for Responsible Decision Making, Risk and Consequences, Peer Pressure, Dealing with Stressful Situations, Nonverbal Communication and Listening, Bullying, Helping Others and Getting Help from Others.

Thank you to everyone who supported our fish fry for DARE. This is our yearly benefit to cover the cost of the DARE program at Wesclin Middle School and Trenton Elementary.

Come out and see us this Friday at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Trenton for some awesome fish!

All proceeds go directly into the Trenton Police Department D.A.R.E. Program which is taught at Wesclin Middle School and Trenton Elementary.

Come out and support the DARE Program today at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Trenton!

Come out to support the Trenton Police Department D.A.R.E. Fish Fry Friday April 21, 2023 at the St. Mary's Parish Center, 325 S. Jefferson in Trenton.

100 % of the proceeds from the fish fry help to support the Wesclin Middle School and Trenton Elementary D.A.R.E. programs.

Dine Out for D.A.R.E. at 7 West, Dairy King, Hank's Bowl, Kain Tayo, Mexico on Main, Pizza Market or Trenton House Saturday May 25, 2019 and help support the Trenton Police D.A.R.E. program.

All day restaurants will be donating 10% of all food sales to the Trenton Police Department D.A.R.E. program. The D.A.R.E. program is taught at Wesclin Middle School and Trenton Elementary by D.A.R.E. Officer Mora in the spring of the year.

The D.A.R.E. program also sponsors a $500.00 college scholarship to a Wesclin High School senior yearly to help assist with college costs and promote education.

Update: Bring the family out to Hank’s Bowl and enjoy a day of bowling! 20% of all bowling proceeds are being donated to the Trenton D.A.R.E. Program!

At the beginning of the year I teach Third Grade D.A.R.E. We talk about what it takes to be a good citizen. Being responsible, respectful and helpful. They are told that at the end of the year 1 boy and 1 girl from each home room will be picked for the Good Citizenship Award. Third grade is watch all year by myself and the elementary staff. I’m proud to present these four students the award!
