Just checking in to let you know, I am so grateful for the interest, calls/texts and just general support.

We have a few great opportunities coming for you guys to get in the spirit of supporting Kilmer while also preparing for our future endeavors!

To all my Kilmer family,

Hi, to formally introduce myself, my name is Alberta Martin(Ms.Cece to the kids). Current PTA president at Joyce Kilmer Intermediate School.I have been serving the students at JKI for the last 3/4 years on behalf of the PTA in various roles.

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you for the continued support, even if it is not always recognized it is greatly appreciated.

Although I do fundraisers in the school, and have continued support with pretzel sales, candy grams and dance tickets. I am looking to garner outside support, that will turn a ripple, into a tsunami behind our Kilmer Kids.

My daughter is in her last year, she has been a Kilmer Cougar since 2nd grade, so it is with a heavy heart I have to say goodbye to Kilmer after this year. More so your children whom I have grown to know and love. I have had the privilege and honor to see the budding successes they are all bound to become.

Now to the meat of the matter, I want to get together and show them, exactly who they can be by teaming up with you all. My general idea is a brunch ceremony for the 6th graders/teacher appreciation for the 6th grade(formally 8th grade) teachers/staff that have aided in your childrens success.

During this event, I would like to have alumni speak, it would not only showcase the amazing talent out of Trenton but Kilmer especially. Nothing gives a child inspiration than seeing someone who was already in their shoes.

I am asking any and all alumni to donate/support with any form of time, support, and honestly money. Because I can not do this without help both physically and financially. My idea to help lighten the burden of finances is to gather you, the alumni, to donate your services to make this a pocket friendly event for the parents.

(I KNOW NOTHING IS FREE. SO I DONT EXPECT FREE. BUT I DO AND WILL RESPECT REASONABLE)

If you; cater, dj, photography, emcee, coach, decorate. Honestly anything that can help make this event a success. I want to hear your ideas! Even if you offer non of those talents, but still want to show support, I will need volunteers for the event. No matter how big or small the role it means the world to me and the kids.

The week before school ends (June 11th) tentatively is the date I want to make this happen! So as I work and meet requirements I would appreciate your input and support!

Not only for this group but for the future legacies that will continue to matriculate through Kilmer in the coming years.

Hey Guys!

I need a favor, and before you ask, it's not for me. It is for the kids. More specifically, the 6th graders at the illustrious, Joyce Kilmer Intermediate School in Trenton,NJ.

Many of you don't know, I am the President of the PTA at Kilmer, and for those that do hey 👋🏾. Now unfortunately, JKI no longer goes up to 8th grade, this is the last year of matriculation for most of our children.

With that being said, I feel it is imperative to show them one last push of support, for some of them this is truly the end of their childhood. And as they now prepare for their adolescent school years, I would like them to see the support, of not only their family but all alumni from the trenton area.

Now, although I am not an alumni of Kilmer myself, I would love to get in contact with those around the town who are. The plans I have for the kids, involve YOU!

So if you can share this status/spread the word! I will be making a separate page for all alumni who are interested in helping me pull this off. I have the approval, I just need the backing!
