Easy Apple Cake
Ingredients:
3-4 apples, peeled and chopped
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Powdered sugar for topping (optional)

Pernil ( pork shoulder )
Ingredients
8 to 9 lb pork shoulder
8 Garlic cloves
2 tablespoons Sazon
1 tablespoons Adobo
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Black pepper
½ tsp Chilli powder
½ tablespoons Salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Rosemary
⅓ cup sofrito
I lime juice squeezed
1 tablespoons Vinegar
1 cups water
Directions
Step 1
1. Wash the pork shoulder with lime and vinegar rub lime on pork shoulder to clean off any slime.
Step 2
2. Stab 8 holes into bottom of pernil and sides / not skin
Step 3
3. Stuff garlic cloves inside holes
Step 4
4. Season with my special rub mix together sofrito, vinegar, lime juice, sazon, adobo, cumin, black pepper, chili pepper, salt, garlic powder, rosemary
Step 5
5. Season the pernil very well than Wipe skin down with paper towel for perfect clean crispy skin, now add water. Next cover but keep in mind when covering try your very best for the cover to not touch the skin it it does it will stick and might rip not really a big deal but try to avoid.

marinate over night or just cook recommend to let marinate over night but it in a rush in rush

Preheat oven to 365 degrees
Step 8
Bake for 4 hours covered
Step 9
Bring heat to 380 degrees and uncover & bake for 2 to 3 hours.
Step 10
I than remove from oven and take off crispy skin, shred the meat the best you can sometimes it depends on the pork shoulders size at times it comes out falling apart itself and sometimes you have to put some work in. Than continued with braking pork skin into potato chip like peaces.
Step 11
Add skin back on top of shredded pork shoulder meat to finish.
Note :
Leaving the skin on pork, especially when cooking pork belly or shoulder, can help retain moisture and create a more flavorful, juicy result due to the fat layer beneath the skin acting as a natural barrier against drying out during cooking.
