Hedke PTO, Inc. The Hedke PTO invites you to become actively involved with our school community. The PTO sponsors a variety of programs and events.

The Hedke PTO is an organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of Hedke Elementary. Its goals are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, teachers and students to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. These activities are made possible by the volunteer efforts of both parents and teachers. The money used to sponsor these programs and events is raised through annual fundraising events.

Get ready for a day packed with games, laughter, teamwork, and LOTS of school spirit! 🏃‍♂️🏅

⭐ Lower Elementary (Grades K–2): 9:00am–11:30am
🍎 Lunch Break: 11:30am–1:00pm (Lower Elementary first, then Upper Elementary)
⭐ Upper Elementary (Grades 3–5): 1:00pm–3:15pm

We need volunteers to help make the day a success! We are looking for help with setup, running stations, lunch prep, and cleanup. We would love and appreciate your support! 💙

🎨 Art Celebration 2026 RE-CAP!!
What. A. Day. 🤪

The mission: To showcase the hard work our students do throughout the year in art class. To give exposure to an entity of learning that is untapped but a necessity ❤️

The event: A celebration and display of the creative workings of Mrs. Hoffmans Art Classes. Each student, K-5, had a piece of art highlighted for viewing.

The THANKS YOUS: I simply can not express a simple Thank You enough 😊. To my fellow PTO members, the parent volunteers, the Trenton High School NHS students, friends, little hands, and my co-workers. Every single minute you lent to this event will be forever appreciated 👏 Everytime we, as PTO, host something, we learn a little bit more about "It takes a village"

Extra SPECIAL THANK YOUS: To Trenton Parks and Recreation for allowing us use of our beautiful and historical grounds at Trenton Cultural Center & for working with us to bring this together 💐. Doughmads Detroit for bringing a childhood staple back to life in the most decadent way and for sharing your craft with us 😋. Celly's Food Truck for continuing to be a consistent staple in our community, and of course, the yummy food 😀. You can find them both at our Trenton Farmers Market if you missed them yesterday. Follow ALL of them on FB to see what they are up to!!

Although we had some challenges and had to PIVOT several times, iykyk 😉 Mrs. Hoffman and I are especially proud that we were able to bring this event together. It was a lot of work, and seeing it come to fruition in real time is something incredible 🤩

HOPES for the future: Better weather 😉😆. A collaboration with our other schools & Parks & Rec to make this an annual event. Local, live artists to share their talents and interact with the kids. Live music 🎶 Got a garage band? Teens that live and breathe music... let us know!!

To say that I am personally grateful for everyone who took time out of their busy day to come visit is an understatement ☺️. A part of what we did yesterday was Adapt & Overcome. But also utilized a lesson ART teaches us... A mistake or mess is an opportunity to make something different, something new, and something more special that it started out to be.

We’re wrapping up Staff Appreciation Week by (pizza) partying like it’s 1999! 🍕

Today our staff enjoyed a pizza party featuring pizza from Hungry Howie's Pizza, provided at no cost as part of our wildly successful Hungry Howie card fundraiser.

Hungry Howie’s also generously gave all of our teachers free small pizza cards, such a fun and thoughtful surprise!
What an awesome way to celebrate together!

We are so thankful for everything our staff does each and every day for our students and school community.

Hedke staff, you truly are the best. This week was just a small way to show how much you mean to us! 💙💛

Today our staff got to enjoy some sweet and salty treats because they truly are all that and a bag of chips! 🍭🧁 Totally fly and da bomb, if we do say so ourselves! 😎

A huge thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes (https://www.facebook.com/share/1bRVV7SrNZ/?mibextid=wwXIfr) for generously donating 5 dozen Bundtinis for our amazing teachers. Such a sweet surprise that made the day even more special! OMG Becky, look at her... Bundt! 😂

From snacks to smiles, we’re continuing the celebration and making sure our Hedke team feels the love. They bring the heart, dedication, and positivity that make our school so special. 😉

One more day to go… let’s finish strong! 💙

At tonight’s meeting, we held our annual election for the PTO Board, and we are excited to announce the 2026–27 PTO Board members! 🎉

Today we invited our Hedke staff to chill out midweek with some cool treats to keep them refreshed and energized. Even superheroes need a moment to cool down!

A big thank you to Nathan Skuratovich from Equitable for donating the ice cream. As a benefits advisor to some of our staff, he wanted to show his appreciation too, and we are so grateful for his support!

We appreciate everything our staff does to make Hedke such a great place to learn and grow. Stay cool… more fun ahead! 💙
