Thank you to all of the parents, siblings, friends, etc. that came out and helped out the Drama club and made this year's productions so great. The reviews we have received about the Wizard of Oz have been amazing and it was really a rewarding experience coaching the kids into their parts. Today was a hard day as we broke down and packed away all of our sets until next fall. The work that all of the volunteers have come out to do since October is appreciated more than you will ever know. To those that came to paint, design, clean up, shush, do makeup, hair, refreshments, unpack, pack, and then at the end run the shows, thank you from the Drama Club advisors!
This weekend has been bittersweet. We are very sad to see our eighth graders leave us, however we are joyful because we have seen you in so many productions over the years, growing in character and confidence with each passing show. Don't stop singing, don't stop acting, don't stop having fun!
We are also sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs. Adamczak and Mr. Lalli. These parents of graduating eighth graders have devoted so much of their time to Drama Club and they will be missed dearly. The set designs and staging that Mr Lalli has done over the years culminated in Wizard of Oz. This was by far the show with the most set pieces, backdrops, and special effects. Mr Lalli has set the bar very high for those that come after him.
We still have the Talent show coming up after the May End of School Picnic so we hope to see you there!
Next year we will need some talented new parents to come and join us in producing the awesome shows that your children take part in. Speaking from experience, we parents love spending time with our kids at drama. Kids remember their parents helping out. My kids are proud when they see a set piece they know we have built or painted up on the stage. Talents we are looking for next year include art design, construction, carpentry, marketing, publishing, and sewing. We also need a stage manager for the shows. If you would like to share your talents with your kids, please message us. Your kids will love spending time with you!
It's opening night for the Wizard of Oz! Who is coming out to watch the Blue Cast perform?
Doors open at 630, show starts at 7!
