Jones County Empty Bowls

The Empty Bowl event is Thursday March 12, 2020 6-8 pm at the new school. Art students have created over 600 pottery bowls. This year our fundraiser will benefit "Backpack Blessings". In the state of NC, 1 in 3 students suffer from food insecurity on a regular basis. As a teacher, I have students that never miss a day; because they will get two meals that day. This fundraiser will benefit students of Jones County.
We are still needing some more soup and silent auction items. If you can help in any way please contact Donna Hawkins 252-671-1268.

Over 500 bowls made by Jones County Students, 65 made by Senior Citizens of Jones County. Get your tickets by March 13th. Tickets are $20 day of event.

Empty Bowls Thursday, March 14, 2019 6-8 at Jones Senior New Gym. Plan to attend! This is a fundraiser to feed our Senior Citizens in Jones County. White Chicken Chili is the soup I made last year.It was gone fast, so I decided to share the recipe.

A event that brought all communities of Jones County together working for one cause, our Senior Citizens that has given so much in our lives. It was time to give back. Thank you to everyone that participated.
