Enjoyed watching several FFA members be inducted into the JSHS National Honor Society and National CTE Honor Society tonight. So proud of all of our members!

JSHS FFA did a great job at the Coastal Plains Chicken Show today in Kinston! All of the birds did so well and the students did a great job working their birds! Congratulations to Amber Elgar and Luke Jones for making it in the final Senior Showmanship drive! Luke was able to pull out Reserve Champion Senior Showman. A few birds were able to pull out a 3rd place!

Finally taking a minute to slow down to share how awesome of a rally we had at UMO!

Mrs Murphy and Luke have been busy with regional rally prep and it is in the books! We are so proud of Luke and the job he has done this year leading the team and very excited to pass the torch to 2 of our past offices, Makenzie Cox and Julian Mata! We know you will do a great job! Congratulations to our graduating seniors Karyme Medrano, Daniela Tiscareno, and George Santiago! Keep working hard toward your dreams!

We are pleased to announce that JSHS FFA was blessed enough to bring home plaques in every CDE that we competed in this year! That is a testament to the hard work and preparation that all of our teams put forth! We are so very proud of all of you!

Vet Science- 🥉 3rd place (Luke Jones, Presley Stallings, Ruby Ward, Alexis West)

Land Judging- 🥈 2nd place (Felton Buxton, Christopher Frame, Luke Jones, and Mason Meadows)

Poultry Evaluation- 🥉 3rd place (Cole Anderson, Jannie Roberts, Amber Taylor, and Jeriyah Tucker)

Dairy Handler-🥇1st place Luke Jones

Forestry-🥈2nd place (Daisy Arthur, Cole Anderson, Amber Elgar, and Mason Meadows).

Our forestry team has qualified for state and will get to compete again at the 2026 North Carolina State FFA Convention in June!

Thanks to everyone who helped us get where we are today!

Tonight’s Science Night! Hope to see you there!

This event is open to ALL children in Jones County!! We are inviting students from Jones Senior, Pollocksville Elementary, Maysville Elementary School, Comfort Elementary School, Trenton Elementary School, and homeschool families! Come out to enjoy an evening of STEM activities facilitated by Jones Senior High School students!!

Food trucks will be on site for dinner!! We look forward to seeing everyone there!!
