🤩The T.E.N.A.C.IT.Y. Cohort Program🤩

EBFIT INC is launching the T.E.N.A.C.I.T.Y. Cohort—a 12-week, once-a-week Leadership-in-Action experience for 5 Nonprofit Executive Directors/Nonprofit Community Leaders in Trenton. T.E.N.A.C.I.T.Y. stands for Training Empowers Nonprofit Authentic Courage In Today’s Year, and each week blends a structured workout with a short leadership debrief—turning fitness into measurable self-development, resilience, and mission-ready leadership.

Here’s what each word means in practice:

T — Training

Weekly, coached, performance-based sessions (strength + mobility + conditioning) that are scalable for all fitness levels and built around consistency, not perfection.

E — Empowers

Participants gain control over energy, stress, and recovery—turning health into a leadership asset (more stamina for hard days, clearer thinking, better emotional regulation).

N — Nonprofit

The cohort is designed specifically for nonprofit executive/community leader realities: mission pressure, limited time, frequent context switching, and carrying responsibility for people and outcomes.

A — Authentic

Leaders show up as they are—no performative “grind culture.” The program creates a trusted space to practice honest self-assessment, sustainable boundaries, and integrity in habits.

C — Courage

Courage is practiced physically (doing hard things safely) and applied professionally (having difficult conversations, making decisions, staying consistent under pressure).

I — In

The program is not “fitness separate from leadership.” It’s integrated: each workout becomes a leadership lab with a short debrief and a weekly commitment.

T — Today’s

Built for current leadership conditions: constant change, stress overload, burnout risk, and the need to lead with clarity, calm, and resilience right now.

Y — Year

This cohort is a 12-week “leadership season” that sets up habits and a continuation plan participants can carry through the rest of the year (and beyond).

👑2026 Ms. New Jersey Senior America Pageant👑

…was another great production!

We’re honored to have sponsored contestants from our local community into this year’s pageant. Each contestant from across the state of New Jersey was celebrated for their talent, confidence, leadership, and community service. Congratulations to all contestants of this year’s pageant!💫

P.S.✍🏽

The New Jersey Senior America pageant is more than a crown and a sash — it’s a stage where lived experience becomes leadership.
For the contestants, it can be deeply affirming: a chance to be seen for their talent, service, and story…while building new friendships and confidence that doesn’t fade with age.
For the community, it creates a powerful ripple effect by spotlighting volunteerism, local causes, and positive role models who prove that purpose and creativity only deepen over time.
And at its heart is Inner Tenacity — the quiet courage to step forward, share one’s voice, and keep growing — showing everyone watching that resilience isn’t just something you survive with, it’s something you can shine with. ✨

💫Our T-Ball athletes are off to a great start of the season! Parents & Guardians, There’s still time to register with us! ⏳

💡Inquire about our injury prevention training program for youth athletes and adults!

P.S.📝
T-Ball is more than a game for us — it’s a steady, positive structure that helps strengthen our children and the parents & guardians who support them. By showing up for practices and games each week, kids learn routine, listening skills, patience, teamwork, and confidence in a safe environment where every child gets a chance to participate and improve.
In addition, parents & guardians gain a consistent space to be involved and build community with other families. We reinforce healthy habits such as commitment, encouragement, and accountability. When families gather around T‑Ball, we’re not just teaching baseball fundamentals — we’re creating stability, connection, and a shared sense of purpose that helps our community grow stronger together.

🧬Human Movement & Science🔬

Spinal discs do more than “cushion” your spine — they help absorb force, distribute pressure, and support smooth, efficient movement. Get a quick, science-backed look at how discs respond to load and movement. Use this as a simple guide for making smarter decisions about posture, lifting, and mobility🤓.

1️⃣➖We’re excited to support Healthy Kids Day at the Capital Area YMCA of Trenton by providing Fitness Assessments for participants — an important first step in helping children and families build healthy, active habits. A fitness assessment gives a clear snapshot of current strengths and areas to improve (such as cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, balance, and overall movement quality), so goals can be realistic and age-appropriate. It also helps identify potential risks early, supports safer exercise and sports participation, and provides a baseline to track progress over time — turning “getting healthy” into something measurable and motivational.

2️⃣➖The underlying foundation of our work is stemmed from Human Movement Science (Kinesiology).

The Tinker & Steam Lab advances our interest in science, as a whole. The Tinker & Steam Lab, led by the Turning Point Discovery Center, is bringing learning to life this spring with two powerful, connected themes: Engineering & Robotics and Earth Science.

In regards to how it harmonizes with us at EBFIT, these themes connect directly to Human Movement Science by showing students how technology can measure and improve movement (robotics and biomechanics) while Earth systems shape how we train, play, and live.

We hope to see you at either (or both) of these events!😁

🌟We’re proud to partner with Trenton United Family Foundation (TUFF) and their Tuff Enuff Network🌟

Within the network, we facilitate our Health & Wealth Physical Activity Workshop — an engaging, hands-on experience designed especially for Middle School Students. This workshop blends movement, wellness education, and real-world conversations to help students see how physical activity connects to overall health, confidence, and opportunity.

Together, we’re giving young people a fun and meaningful introduction to careers in the Health & Fitness industry. Thus, helping them to explore pathways like training, coaching, sports performance, nutrition, and other wellness-related fields while building healthy habits they can carry forward.

During the end of the series, each participant will have advanced skillsets that caters to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As each student continues walking their path of higher education as a normal step, we will accelerate their path.

We showed up and showed out at Foundation Academies❗️

It was an honor to engage and inspire the students. We also had an opportunity to meet parents & guardians, partnering organizations, and the incredible staff at Foundation Academies. It was a great day to display the resources that we all provide in the community.

One resource, in particular, is our upcoming Health & Wealth Career Advantage Series. Inspired by the success of our High School (and above) 8-Week Internship Program, we’re hand-picking a select few Middle School students who express a high-level of interest in the Health & Fitness Industry and Entrepreneurship.

During the end of this series, each participant will have advanced skillsets that caters to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As each student continues walking their path of higher education as a normal step, we will accelerate their path.

🌟Comprehensive Internship Opportunities🌟

As part of the the Trenton250 Community Health & Wellness Plan, we are providing a policy framework and
action agenda — specifically for increasing opportunities and pursuit of physical activity for Trenton residents. A segment of the framework includes internships that give students an opportunity to explore careers in the Health & Fitness Industry.

Armani, for example, took advantage of our 8-week Internship Program --- in partnership with HomeWorks Trenton and the Capital Area YMCA of Trenton. During this time, she developed a basic understanding of 'Health & Fitness Industry' professional skillsets, such as:

💡Kinesiology proficiency
💡Holistic-Performance support
💡The ability to address muscle imbalances
💡Providing sufficient movement assessments
💡Instructing oneself before instructing someone else

As Armani continues walking her path of Higher Education as a normal next step, she's now equipped with real-world experience that caters to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As a contributing factor to the Trenton250 Community Health & Wellness Plan, our 8-week internship program also highlights the relationship between health and other Trenton250 Master Plan elements (www.trenton250.org).

We predict that implementation of the strategies described in the Community Health and Wellness Plan, as well as the other Trenton250 Master Plan elements, will lead to material
changes in City of Trenton NJ - City Hall's economic, social, and physical environment over time, which will improve the health and wellness of Trenton residents.
