Because of the threat of Hurricane Ian, The Tailgating event that was scheduled for Friday October 30th has been postponed until Friday October 21st.

Details for tailgating: 🎈🎈👏🏽🎈🍔🌭

Safety of JSHS students and staff is of utmost importance. During homecoming tailgating and game, there will be a minimum of 8 deputies on site. We all want to have a good time but it must be clean. Remember, it is against board policy for any smoking, va**ng, dipping, chewing, drugs, alcoholic beverages or weapons on JSHS campus.

JSHS is offering 4 trophies this year.
Trophy 1: Each class is asked to collect money. Monies will be donated to the Athletic department. The class with the largest donation will win the trophy. This is for class donations to the school. It is a perfect opportunity for the alumni to give back.
Trophy 2: The class with the most alumni present will win this trophy. The count can only include graduates of JSHS and not all of their family members. Each class will be given a sign in sheet that will be picked up at 6pm. It is on the honor system so please don't allow any fudging.
Trophy 3: Your space should be themed and decorated with a reference to Trojan spirit. You can opt out of this if you desire.
Trophy 4: Submit one food for the taste contest if you want to participate.
All trophies will be presented at game halftime!

JSHS cannot allow tailgating to interfere with the release of school. Two representatives from each class may arrive beginning at 1pm - 2:30. During this time, you can bring in tents, grills, etc. We can only allow 2 people per class at this time because students are still on campus. They have to cut off entrance at 2:30 because school is released at 2:50. Admission to the tailgating area will resume at 3:30 and that will be for everyone. Ms. Beverly Hines will be sending out information periodically. I know this is a long message but I want to make sure we cover all bases. Also, they will have a DJ on site to keep the music flowing. The school is excited for the outcome.
