Attention 8th grade students!!! The Student Government is at work designing "A Night to Remember". Please note the Clap Out event will be held June 18th from 9:30am- 10:30am on the front lawn. The School Social will be held that night and is open to 7th and 8th grade students from Dunn. The cost is $10.00 dollars to attend. Tickets will go on sale afterschool starting June 1st.

Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians
To strengthen student attendance and deepen parent–school partnership at Dunn Middle School, we are introducing an optional communication strategy designed to support students in maintaining consistent school routines. In alignment with the privacy protections established under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), applicable New Jersey student privacy statutes, and guidance from the New Jersey Department of Education regarding the protection of student information, the school will collect limited contact information solely for the purpose of supporting student attendance and readiness for learning. Parents and guardians who choose to participate may provide their child’s name and cell phone number through the designated form. By submitting this information, families consent to Dunn Middle School sending a brief automated text message at 11:00 p.m. reminding students to begin winding down for the night by turning off electronic devices and preparing for adequate rest, as well as a 7:00 a.m. automated wake-up call encouraging students to begin their morning routine so they can arrive in class by 7:55 a.m., ready for instruction.
All submitted phone numbers will be maintained securely by Dunn Middle School’s H.O.P.E. Team and will be used exclusively for the purposes described above. Consistent with district policy and New Jersey privacy expectations governing student information, these contact details will not be shared, sold, or distributed outside of the school community. Participation in this initiative is voluntary, and families may opt in by completing the form. By providing the requested information, parents and guardians acknowledge and consent to the use of the contact number for these reminders and agree that Dunn Middle School and the school district will be held harmless in the unlikely event of an unintended release of the phone number. This effort reflects the school’s commitment to partnering with families to support strong attendance habits, healthy routines, and student success.

Student Wake Up Call Form

Due to the winter storm forecast, Trenton Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 23.

Families and staff are encouraged to continue monitoring district communications for any additional updates. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.

Thank you for your patience as Building Administration worked to support a remedy for the halt in Positive Impact afterschool programming. As of this evening, programming can resume at Dunn Middle School.

This is an urgent message regarding the Positive Impact afterschool program.

If your child attends the Positive Impact afterschool program offered by Children's Home Society at Dunn Middle School, the program has been administratively canceled until further notice. This DOES NOT include the Afterschool Success Program managed by Dunn School staff that operates from 2:30-3:30pm. All families will be notified immediately, should programming resume. It is best to make alternative plans for childcare for the remainder of this week.
