Team Stealthy

Today team stealthy showed God's love through our interactions with each other and the home owner. During the day we were respectful and considerate of everyone around us, even when the home owners convinced us to try their special treat, salt and apples. Today was beautiful and amazing. Thank the Lord for giving us the ability to be God's hands and feet for this lovely family.

Team Skim Milk

For today’s project we get a lot accomplished. We installed a T bar, and cut off the access asphalt. Shannon and Abby got on the roof and installed it from there, while John and grey got on ladders. We went out to lunch and refueled, and went back to work. Tomorrow we need to finish one side of T bar then we complete our project and on the the next.

Team Elbow

Today at our worksite, we were the hands and feet of Jesus by serving a family in need through building a ramp for their home. We showed Christ’s love by working hard, even when tasks were difficult, and by not giving up when we struggled with tools or measurements. We also supported each other by encouraging our teammates and working together as one group. Spending time and talking with the kids on our site showed kindness and care, reflecting Christ’s love in our actions.

Wednesday Swagger 1

Today, we showed that we are the Hands and Feet of Jesus. We had our most productive day so far, working to floor the entire kitchen and half of the front room. Everyone trusted each other to work well by being patient, taking on a productive role, and cleaning up after. We showed Christ’s love in our focus to improve William’s home, working ahead of schedule and on track to complete flooring tomorrow. We had a great time discussing our lunch devotion and praying over the home.

Team Eyeball #2. Our team served in more than one day today. For starters, we continued working on the siding and trimming of the house, making great progress. Amy and Kennedy also spent time with our homeowner and he taught us how to make a rocking chair. We are currently in the process of making a chair and seeing the joy it brings Jackie, our homeowner, warms our hearts. He said that he loves teaching volunteers how to make the chairs because it gives him the chance to connect with the group. Seeing how happy it makes Jackie really lets us see how the Lord is working among us.

Wild goose chase 2

We were the hands and feet of Jesus today by supporting one another and finding a solution when we were faced with problems with our project or when someone needed a break from digging we switched to give that person rest. We also talked to our homeowner Marilyn about her knee scans she got back today.

Swagger 2 made lots of progress today on our job site. We finished all the house wrap and began putting up the J channeling. We are looking forward to start putting the siding in the house tomorrow.

We are very grateful for our helping hand Worth Todd. He is very patient with all of us as we learn new skills and try new things.

God showed up today in so many ways! We were especially moved when our home owner shared with us that he had received word that a date had been set for the surgery he is waiting to have. He was so excited and we were happy to share in his joy.

Team Wild Goose Chase 1 showed the hands and feet of Jesus today by not only serving our homeowner, but also by building relationships with her. We took time to talk, listen, and share laughs together which made everyone feel loved and welcomed. We also supported each other throughout the day by working as a team,encouraging one another and always keeping smiles on our faces. Through our kindness, laughter and work we were able to share Christ’s love with both our homeowner and each other.

Team Skim Milk

Today was the second day and it started out raining until lunch time. After lunch we got so much accomplished. We got all but 2 strips laid down and nailed so much in. Tomorrow we have to put the roof around a vent, and then we are done and on to see what asp wants us to do next. I hope we work hard and diligently.
