Sometimes new students seem bothered that I write in their music. 😂😂 They want to take care of their book. 📘
But here's where I ask, is the book serving you, or are you serving the book❓️
I haven't gone digital yet, but I do use easeable 🖋 and markers in their music.
But man oh man, if you want to learn, if ya want to find real motivation and joy, ya gotta mark the music! 🎼 (And then practice what you learned!)
There is so much in music beyond merely the notes and markings that are written on the page!!! 🎵🎶
Learning the notes and rhythms is one thing, but capturing the essence of the piece and making it your own is a whole other.
And by the way, that's where creativity comes in.
And where you will find your most inspiring and magical moments at the piano!
