Barrels and Bibles Barrel racing and horsemanship instruction centered around Christian values. Instructors are Greg and Chris Holmes. Donations are welcome for lighting costs.

There is no charge for this instruction or use of the facility.

We want to give everyone a heads up. There is a road construction project on Blessenger Lane in Star and that road is closed. The detour to get to High Desert Station is to take CanAda Road which is one mile to the East of Blessinger. Go North on CanAda to the Stop Sign at Foothill road. Turn West on Foothill Road. It will wind around a bit until you come back to Blessenger. Then turn North up the Hill on Blessenger to the High Desert Station.

We have rented the arena at High Desert Station in Star, Idaho for another Barrels and Bibles event. The date is Sunday, December 9th at 1:00 -5:00.. We will start with half an hour warm up and then a devotional session at 1:30 followed by open riding and barrel racing instruction for those who want help. Everyone is welcome. There is never a charge. You are welcome to contribute to the cost of the arena which is $200 for the afternoon.

Happy Friday everyone. Just want to give everyone a heads up.....the owner of High Desert Station has a rule that we are supposed to pick up our manure at the trailers, etc. So if you could please bring a pitch fork and bucket so that Greg and I don't have to clean up the parking lot after you leave. Thanks so much for your attention to this!!!!!!!

Now that I am able to walk and there isn't a barrel race this Sunday, we have decided to rent the arena High Desert Station, this Sunday, March 4 from 1 pm to 4 pm. As normal there will be a short warm up time, followed by a short devotional and then slow work on the barrel pattern. Hope to see you all there!

UPDATE 9:56 AM. OK IT IS SNOWING AND BLOWING IN WEISER. WE ARE GOING TO CANCEL TODAY. WE ARE HOPING TO BE IN CONTACT WITH THE STAR IDAHO INDOOR ARENA AND TRY TO WORK SOMETHING OUT FOR JUST A COUPLE OF HOURS. THE COST FOR A FULL DAY IS TOO PROHIBITIVE FOR US. WE WILL BE IN TOUCH GOING FORWARD. SORRY FOR THE LATE CANCELLATION!

Update:
Cora said they checked the ground this morning and it is spungy but safe. She and Claire plan to be there. We are going to say it is a go. If weather changes while we are there, we may just have to shut it down. If you come, please dress warm.....with the colder temperatures maybe the gnats will be gone!

We are still hoping to have Barrels and Bibles today. We are waiting to make a final decision. Waiting for Cora Walker to tell us the conditions at present time in Weiser. Weather could be sketchy today. Will advise as soon as we make a decision

Weather permitting, we are planning to have Barrels and Bibles clinics the next two Sunday's. October 29 and November 5 at the Weiser, Idaho Rodeo Grounds. We will plan to start at 1 pm each Sunday. We are excited to see everyone as we have missed you all!

Who wants to watch the American Tomorrow. We would like to open our home to any of you that would like to come. The Pre Rodeo starts at 11 am. Bring a side dish and what you wish to drink. We'll furnish the main course. Please PM me if you plan to come so I know how much food we need.

Chris and I felt that we needed to reach out to all who have been a part of Barrels and Bibles. This year has not gone as we planned but sometimes there is a bigger plan that has not yet been revealed to us. One thing for sure is that if we as Christians are beginning to have an impact Satan will come against us. We are not sure what is in store for Barrels and Bibles for the rest of the winter but perhaps this summer we can do more small groups and individuals. Our problem is limited parking and when irrigating our pastures are often to wet to park in. Our desire is to stay in contact with each of you and to be a source of encouragment in our barrel racing endeavors and in our walk with our Lord. In the mean time Chris and I want your input as to what are your needs? And you are all invited to attend Eagle Naz with us.
