John and Jennie both had great races at the USA Triathlon Age-Group National Championships. John and Jennie both hit their race goals for the event and had a great time cheering other Rise Up triathletes at the event. They send a special thanks to team member John McGurk for being all over the Olympic run corse, encouraging us on.
Adam competed alongside John and Jennie finishing 48th in his age with a dominating run off a solid bike
JT had the race of his life. We can all relate - the dream of everything coming together. He fought hard in the stacked 35-39 age group at nationals and outright earned a spot to Hamburg, Germany representing team USA at the age group world championships in the sprint distance next year landing strong within the top of 20 of his age with a sprint distance PR
John was ready to fight for a slot to worlds alongside JT. Strong swim and bike put him in the right place to do so. Unfortunately due to left foot numbness he literally couldn’t find his feet for that run and fell short of his goal. John is ready to lock in and try again
Embry had a PR at Nationals, happy to race it this year after last year’s cancellation.
Sarah, Ben, Brandon, Max, Amelia, Connor, Tom, Eliana, and Maddy ran the Danville Heritage 5k having a blast together as a team!
Kenny finished eastern states 100 strongly through the heat. One hour slower than last year due the inferno of the weekend temps but still a top 30 finish within the field
Lititz Rec Center race was represented by 3 Rise Up Racing members. Steph R, Jen and Michelle P. Jen improved by 2 minutes on the bike from last year and Steph finished 2nd in her age. Michelle also had a really strong showing.
Amanda finished 6th in age group out of 13 and 140 out of 313. Steve did great. He was 4th in his age group and 34th overall.
Amazing job by all! Congratulations 🎉
