That’s a wrap on the 2026 girls tennis season! 🎾 We held three banquets for our three incredible teams 💚💛 These girls are so easy to celebrate! We are all sad that the season is over but we can’t wait to see how strong you all come back next spring!

State Finals 2026

1 Singles Sloane Barclay, 4 Singles Katie Popp, and 1 Doubles Alex Johncock/Lily Lauters all won their first round matches. The rest of our flights lost in close matches but we left with our heads held high. This season was absolutely incredible. We couldn’t be more proud of these girls and the historic season they had! The relationships we built and memories that we made will be cherished long after the season ends. Way to go, girls! This is just the beginning for TC West Girls Tennis ☺️💚💛

Gearing up for our first ever States appearance!! Matches start at 8:30AM. We are so excited to be here and ready to play some great tennis!

What a day for TC West Tennis at our JV BNC Tournament! 🎾💚💛

JV Green had an incredible performance, taking FIRST PLACE in every flight — and even earning runner-up in the final doubles flight with our 6 doubles team!

JV Gold also had an outstanding day, finishing runner-up in 7 out of 9 flights. The combined effort from both teams earned TC West first and second place overall! 👏

From start to finish, the courts were filled with grit, energy, teamwork, and determination. So much hard work showed up today in a big way, ending the season on such a high note!

To every player on both JV teams — thank you for the effort, laughter, competitiveness, resilience, and joy brought to this season. You made every practice, bus ride, and match something special, and there is so much to be proud of! 💚💛

Coach Cassie, our Varsity Coach, has been named Regional Coach of the Year!!!

This is no small accomplishment, and it is incredibly well deserved. In her very first year leading the varsity program, Coach Cassie helped guide the team to States for the very first time in program history. What an unforgettable season it has already been!

She leads with energy (a lot of energy and we love it), consistency, encouragement, and genuine care for every player on and off the court. She creates a culture that pushes players to compete hard while also feeling seen, supported, and believed in.

Her passion for the game is contagious, her positivity never runs out, and her impact reaches far beyond tennis.

Congratulations, Coach Cassie! TC West Tennis is blessed to have you, and this honor could not have gone to a better coach. We love you!! 💛 👏

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, TC WEST VARSITY GIRLS TENNIS ARE GOING TO STATES!!!! This team absolutely crushed it at Regionals, taking 2nd place as a team! 3 singles Myah Skorupski won her flight at Regionals, 4 singles Katie Popp was the runner up in her flight, and 3 doubles team Sophia Nowak and Pearl Reynolds were also runners up. Every single one of these girls have worked so hard all season and it has all paid off!! We couldn’t be more proud of this incredible team!!

So proud of these girls and this growing program! We are just getting started….

The last Varsity home match vs. Elk Rapids today has been cancelled due to weather. Don’t worry, the season is not quite done!

Varsity Regionals on May 15th @ Greater Midland Tennis Center.

JV BNC has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20th in Traverse City. The location for matches is TBD.
