Singing about summer nights like we're John Travolta ☀️😅 Believe it or not, this photo was taken at 8:30 PM (EST). It was a perfect night to get underway and practice some FRB training.

Last night the T/S State Of Michigan departed Traverse City, but it's just goodbye for now as the training ship heads north to the Soo Locks for Engineers Day! Soo Locks Visitors Center Association

Every day that the T/S State of Michigan stops by home port at the Great Lakes Campus is a good day, but Saturday's Kids Free Fishing Day was an extra good day.

Hosted by the Great Lakes Children's Museum, families enjoyed a free fishing event at the Great Lakes Campus with a view of the T/S SOM and Robinson Bay on a beautiful sunshine filled day. Cadets were on scene to secure the vessels and their lines.

One of our current cadets aboard their commercial sea-project caught a glimpse of the training ship underway! Looking good!
