Wood Badge Course C2-274-12-1 will be held at Camp Greilick the weekends of Aug 24, 2012 - Aug 26, 2012 and Sep 7, 2012 - Sep 9, 2012.

Scenic Trails Council, Traverse City, Michigan. Wood Badge is an adult leader training course created by the founder of Scouting, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, in 1915. It remains the most complete and up-to-date leadership training available to volunteer Scouters. Wood Badge is internationally recognized as a premiere leadership dynamics course, and is also used in non-Scouting environments.

Beaver attack reported in Hurley alley

HURLEY, WISC. - A beaver tried to attack two women in an alley in Hurley Monday at 7 a.m., according to a Hurley Police Department report.

The women were walking in the alley behind Brite Spot Two and Arts Unlimited when they spotted the beaver.

Officer Dan Thomas was able to capture a fuzzy image of the animal on his phone as it stood up and stared at him.
