North Ed Career Tech Students receive training in twenty-three occupational programs utilizing cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment.

Northwest Education Services Career Tech is a secondary career and technical education school serving both juniors and seniors from over 25 public and private high schools in Michigan's Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties. Northwest Education Services (North Ed) is one of 56 regional educational service agencies within Michigan, and proudly serves over 20,000 students throughout Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties. North Ed Career Tech is a secondary career and technical education center serving more than 25 public and private high schools and approximately 1,100 students in the five-county region. OUR SOCIAL MEDIA STANDARDS
North Ed uses social media applications to quickly and broadly share information with the community about the organization’s programs, services and values. We consider North Ed social media accounts as limited public forums and will monitor posted comments to verify they are consistent with North Ed values. Content that does not meet our social media standards outlined below may be hidden or deleted at the administrator’s discretion. We recognize that social media carries the risk of unintended consequences and to avoid harm, North Ed abides by and encourages others to abide by these standards when engaging with our social media accounts:

>>While North Ed values diverse opinions, we will at our discretion remove, and may report, comments, images or other material deemed inappropriate or irrelevant.

>>Content posted to North Ed social media accounts must adhere to the district’s nondiscriminatory practices based on sex, race, color, national origin, religion, weight, marital status, handicap, age, political affiliation, sexual orientation and disability or any other status covered by federal, state or local law.

>>We value the privacy of students, families and employees and use their information only with consent.

>>Content posted must not be copyright infringement, defamatory, libelous or obscene.

>>We will correct mistakes in posts as quickly as possible, and we encourage you to message us if you notice an error we made.

>>These guidelines will be amended as necessary to ensure that North Ed social media pages are useful and constructive to the communities it serves.

GTAMC has made the decision to postpone its in-person fundraiser and host it in conjunction with the GTAMC Summit in spring 2027.

While the in-person event has been postponed, we are still raising funds in 2026 to support students in the Northwest Education Services Career Tech Engineering Academy who are pursuing their education for careers in advanced manufacturing by providing them with opportunities to participate in robotics and engineering competitions on the national stage.
Funds raised will provide scholarships to help these students take the next step in their education and career pathways while strengthening the future talent pipeline for our region’s advanced manufacturing industry.

Help support our talented Engineering Academy students!

Join us for the GTAMC Reception & Fundraising Auction: Benefitting North Ed Career Tech Engineering Academy on Thursday, September 24, from 4:30–7:00 p.m. at Short's Brewing Company Pull Barn in Elk Rapids. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be available throughout the evening.

This special event brings together manufacturing professionals, business leaders, educators, and community supporters to network while investing in the next generation of Northern Michigan’s workforce. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the North Ed Career Tech Engineering Academy and help students participate in robotics and engineering competitions on the national stage.

Tickets are $55 for GTAMC members and $75 for future members.
