TCAPS LEAP

LEAP, also known as the Learning, Enrichment and Athletic Program, provides athletic, arts & enrichment opportunities for preschool- 12th grade students.

What is LEAP? LEAP, also known as the Learning, Enrichment and Athletic Program, provides athletic, arts and enrichment opportunities for preschool through 12th grade students. It is the vision of LEAP to provide students with increased opportunities for engagement beyond the school day through educational and recreational activities to improve learning, health, and wellness. Programs goals include 1) ensuring access to available programming for each student committing to participate in athletic and/or recreational activities offered through LEAP, and 2) participants, coaches, parents, and spectators will demonstrate the highest degree of sportsmanship at all times. Expectation of LEAP Participants:

Attend all scheduled practices and competitions
Give best effort at all times
Conduct self in sportsmanlike fashion at all times
Treat teammates with respect
Have fun

🏈 LAST CALL FOR FLAG FOOTBALL COACHES! 🏈

Our NFL jersey and flag order must be placed this week. Coaches must be confirmed by midnight Wednesday, or we may have to cancel teams and refund registration fees.

You don’t have to coach alone—two or three adults can share the responsibility! Parents, relatives, family friends, and community members are all welcome. Please help us give every child the chance to play this season.

Coaches are still needed for:

📣 Grades 2–3
• Courtade: One coach needed
• Eastern: Coaches needed for one of three teams

📣 Grades 4–5
• Cherry Knoll: One coach needed—11 players are ready!
• Traverse Heights: One coach and more players needed—currently five registered
• Westwoods: Coaches needed for one of two teams, plus a few more players

Important season information:

💻 Coaches meeting: Virtual and recorded
📅 Practices may begin the week of September 21
🎽 Equipment pickup: Saturday, September 26
🏈 Saturday clinics/games: September 26–October 24
🏈 Grades 2–3 Monday games: October 5–19
🏈 Grades 4–5 Wednesday games: September 30–October 21
