For sale: cedar music 4/4 violin. Very light and airy, with a French, sprightly sound. Narrow fingerboard perfect for someone with long fingers. This violin has a quaint, charming sound that isn’t as assertive as the German-made violins on our wall. It’s responsive, easy under the fingers and shows the usual fine craftsmanship of cedar music instruments. The finish remains unblemished and it shows no signs of wear.

Don’t you hate it when your e string makes a shrill, chandelier-shattering whistle?

Aside from our standard Kaplan brand no-whistle E string, we now carry Warchal Amber no-whistle e strings.
These E strings are the preferred e string used by Steven, one our staff members and a Michigan state old-time fiddling champion, who averaged a performance three Saturdays out of every month last year and reported zero E string whistles!
If you’ve ever clenched your teeth during a difficult passage in anticipation of that dreaded sound, fret no more!

This 80 year old German strad copy is waiting on our showroom floor! And now that spring is here, what better to way to celebrate than the best kind of purchase: a quality violin?

With the characteristic big-bellied, dynamic tone of German-made instruments, you’ll be playing some of classical music’s most dynamic pieces with confidence.
With an assertive low register and a graceful high register, this violin is perfect for playing the sweet, angelic tones of the opening passages of Wagner’s “Lohengrin” AND the booming, assertive, tooth rattling bass notes of the second movement of Prokofiev’s haunting first violin concerto.

With a narrow fingerboard and a slim body, this violin is lightweight physically but far from lightweight tonally.

Run don’t walk to our showroom to try it out before it’s gone!

Price: $2,256.00
