6:30 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Central Day Care Center is licensed by the Michigan Department of Human Services and by the United States Government. The Center is open year-round, except for all major holidays, the Friday before Labor Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and the day after Christmas. Classrooms:
There are five classrooms at Central Day Care Center. Children are assigned based on their age, independence, and other developmental factors.

Lightning Bug Room - Infant
Chipmunk Room - Young Toddler
Owl Room - Older Toddler
Raccoon Room - Preschool
Wolf Den - Pre-Kindergarten

Central Day Care Center’s approach to education includes the following:
* A balanced schedule of self-directed and teacher-directed activities encouraging the development of social,
emotional, cognitive, creative, self-help, and motor skills.
*Posted lesson plans guide the daily program in each classroom.
*Classroom and center-wide field trips provide new experiences in the community beyond the Center.
*Central Day Care Center’s approach to discipline includes positive reinforcement, restatement of previously
established limits, and redirection to encourage self-control, self-direction, and cooperation.

☀️ Summer BBQ Celebration! 🌭🍔

What a wonderful evening together! We had close to 100 friends, families, and staff join us for our Summer BBQ Celebration, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the summer. ❤️

It’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye to some of our friends as they head off to kindergarten, but we are so excited to watch them take this next big step! 🎓💛 At the same time, we’re excited to welcome all of our new families to Central Day Care. We’re so glad you’re here!

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. These opportunities to gather, connect, and celebrate our Central Day Care community are truly special.

We’re looking forward to kicking off fall, welcoming a new GSRP year, and starting another wonderful year together! 🍂📚

Our kiddos had SO much fun with our construction theme! From hard hats to safety cones, they were ready to get to work! 🦺🔨

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, hope, and opportunity. At Central Day Care, we are grateful for the privilege of caring for and teaching the next generation in a country where children can learn, grow, and dream.

As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, we’re reminded to be thankful for the many blessings we enjoy and for those who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedoms.

🌞🏖️ Beach vibes without leaving the playground! 🐠💙

This week our toddlers explored an exciting Beach Sensory Adventure using blue Jell-O for the ocean, brown sugar for the sand, and colorful ocean friends to inspire imaginative play! 🌊🐢⭐

Sensory play helps little learners build fine motor skills, language, creativity, and curiosity—all while having tons of fun!
