Welcome to Central Day Care 💙🌟

Since 1968, Central Day Care has proudly served generations of children and families in our community. As a nonprofit early childhood center, we are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. 🌱📚

At Central, we believe childhood should be filled with:
🌈 Love and belonging
🧸 Learning through play
🤝 Meaningful relationships
✨ Encouragement and confidence
💛 A strong sense of community

Our mission is centered around supporting the whole child socially, emotionally, physically, and academically while building strong partnerships with families and creating a positive culture for both children and staff. 🏡💫

For over 50 years, families have trusted us to provide compassionate care, quality early childhood education, and a place where children feel safe, valued, and celebrated every day. 🎨📖🛝

We are proud of our history, grateful for our community, and excited for the future ahead. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s journey. 💙✨

🌟 COMMUNITY HELPERS WEEK AT CENTRAL DAY CARE! 🌟

👮‍♀️👩‍⚕️👨‍🚒👩‍🍳👷‍♂️👩‍🏫

This week, our little learners are exploring the amazing world of Community Helpers—the people who make our neighborhoods safe, healthy, and happy every day! ❤️

🚒 We’re learning about firefighters who keep us safe
🚓 Police officers who help our community
🩺 Doctors & nurses who take care of us
🍎 Teachers who help us grow
🚧 And so many more everyday heroes!

✨ Through hands-on activities, dramatic play, and fun discussions, our kiddos are discovering how they can be helpers too!

💬 Ask your child:
👉 “How can you be a helper at home?”
👉 “Who helps you in our community?”

👏 BIG thank you to all of our community helpers—we appreciate you!

💙

Small Changes, Big Impact for Toddlers

With toddlers, it’s often the smallest changes that create the biggest shifts.

Setting up your home so essentials are within their reach invites independence.

When children can access what they need, they feel capable and confident.

Letting them help—even when it’s slower, messier, or imperfect—builds life skills and connection.

A consistent bedtime routine gives their body and brain a sense of safety and predictability.

Simple, repeated rhythms help toddlers wind down and regulate more easily.

Creating a “yes drawer” or cabinet allows them to explore safely without constant correction.

Instead of hearing “no” all day, they get to experience freedom within boundaries.

Lowering expectations for perfection creates space for learning and growth.

Choosing connection over control strengthens your relationship in the long run.

These small, intentional shifts help toddlers feel secure, capable, and understood.

It’s not about doing more—it’s about doing things differently in ways that truly support your child.
