In this class, learn from artist Amber Coulter how to create a hand-bound personalized journal! This class is beginner friendly, and invites participants to explore multiple mediums and put together a book unique to them. Students will be lead through the process of choosing a design, bookbinding techniques, hand sewn covers, an how to incorporate mixed media elements into their projects.

This Saturday! Join us for a FREE Artist Talk with Jon Langford, focusing on his current CTAC-TC exhibit 'H***y Tonk Heaven'. One of the founding members of the British first wave punk band The Mekons, John is also quite the prolific and outstanding painter. Hear directly from the artist about the inspiration behind his work, the stories woven into his pieces, and the creative process that brings his ideas to life.

This exhibit and Artist Talk are also happening in collaboration with Jonโ€™s concert this Friday, September 18 at 7pm at The Bay, alongside fellow Mekons bandmate Sally Timms. Visit thebaytheatre.org to get tickets before it's too late!

๐—›๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ธ๐˜† ๐—ง๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป: ๐—๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ - Jon is a prolific and well-respected visual artist whose punk rock instincts and unparalleled draftsmanship come together in a painting style that is distinctive, engaging, and challenging. In this exhibit, Jon explores cultural country and western icons- a theme that also lent inspiration to our Americana exhibit!

Tonight! Join us for an Ekphrastic Reading held at CTAC-TC, from 5:30 - 7 PM โœ’๏ธ An ekphrastic reading is an opportunity to experience visual art in a whole new way-through language, imagination, and personal interpretation.

Much like a poetry reading, this welcoming gathering invites participants to read their work aloud while listeners are encouraged to sit back, reflect, and enjoy the many perspectives sparked by the same works of art. Whether you are sharing a poem, short story, song, or simply coming to listen, this event celebrates the powerful dialogue between visual art and the written word.

Our Little Makers classes are now live for registration! Starting in September, preschool age artists will have an opportunity to engage in themed activities while exploring various art methods, guided by their grown-ups. Each week different projects will be introduced, led by our awesome instructors Alyssa () and Kristy () . Come ready to create your own art adventure! Experimentation is encouraged. ๐ŸŽจ

Do you know a teen interested in expanding their creative pursuits- whether to prepare an art school application portfolio, or just to create more art after school? Our High School Portfolio session for the Fall semester is now live! In this Wednesday class, each week students will be able to lead their projects and explore a wide variety of mediums, with guidance from talented art instructors. After both semesters of the class, students will have their work featured in an exhibit held at CTAC-TC at the end of the year.

This class is for students ages 14-18. Some 8th graders can be considered with review. Scholarships are also available!
