FFA gives students opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, compete, travel, serve their community, explore careers, build leadership skills, earn awards, and make some pretty great memories along the way! 🌱🐄🐾🚜

Whether you’re interested in animals, plants, mechanics, leadership, public speaking, agriculture, or just finding a place to get involved at TRHS, there is something for YOU in FFA!

💰 TR FFA dues are $25
👕 Your dues also include a TR FFA shirt!
📍 Dues can be turned in to Mrs. Kelley or Ms. Bowen.

You do not have to live on a farm or plan to have a career in agriculture to be part of FFA. If you’re enrolled in an agriculture class and want to get more involved, we would love to have you!

Congratulations to our very own, Alyvia Pakkala, on earning her FFA American Degree!!

The American FFA Degree is the highest degree the National FFA Organization can bestow upon its members, and earning it is a HUGE accomplishment!

Alyvia’s hard work, dedication, leadership, and commitment to agriculture and FFA have truly paid off. We couldn’t be prouder of all she has accomplished and the young woman she has become through her FFA journey.

💙💛 TRAVELERS REST FFA IS LIVING TO SERVE! 💛💙

Our FFA chapter is collecting non-perishable food items and basic hygiene products to help keep the Blessing Box on Devil Dog Ln. stocked for members of our community.

📦 Items needed include:
• Canned goods
• Peanut butter
• Ramen noodles
• Granola bars
• Water bottles
• Bar soap
• Toothpaste & toothbrushes
• Deodorant

🌟 FFA MEMBERS: You can earn 1 Community Service Hour OR 1 SAE Hour for every 3 items donated, with a maximum of 5 total hours.

Every donation, big or small, can make a difference! Let's come together as Travelers Rest FFA and live out our motto: Living to Serve. 💙💛

🌱 Please join us in welcoming Ms. Leila Bowen to the Travelers Rest High School Agriculture Department!

Ms. Bowen will be leading our Horticulture program, and we are excited to have her join the TR Ag family. We know she will bring enthusiasm, knowledge, and a passion for agriculture to our students.

Travelers Rest High School is excited to welcome Leila Bowen as our new Agriculture Teacher!

A recent graduate of Clemson University, Ms. Bowen earned a double major in Agricultural Education and Horticulture. She is excited to begin her teaching career and share her passion for agriculture while helping students develop the knowledge and skills to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

When she's not at school, Ms. Bowen enjoys spending time with family and friends on the lake. You'll also find her cheering on her favorite teams at sporting events or having fun watching the Savannah Bananas!

Please join us in giving Leila Bowen a warm Travelers Rest High School welcome. We are excited to see the energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective she will bring to our Agriculture program and the Devildog community!

2026 State Convention!!!

Today Staggs Garden Center of Taylors came and picked up all of our remaining plants. It took them two loads to get everything. They have a lot of great vegetables plants and flowering plants for Mothers Day!! Please go see them for your plant needs. Travelers Rest High School Horticulture classes are so thankful for this partnership that is only possible due to our community and supporters.

We are so thankful to be able to partner with Staggs Garden Center of Taylors as we wrap up our plant sales at the school. Today we sent a lot of our remaining greenhouse stock to Staggs Garden Center of Taylors to be sold at their location. They will be coming back Thursday to pick up the rest of our plants. Please go by and see them for your plant needs. They will have lots of great vegetables, flowers, and hanging baskets.

Wednesday we were so blessed to have the opportunity to visit the South Carolina State House for Plant Presentation Day! We went on an inside tour to learn about when and how it was made and all of the obstacles it has faced. We also had the privilege of talking to Representative Patrick Haddon who serves on the Agriculture Committee. We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again!
