OFFICIAL RESULTS ARE IN!

The official results from our 1st SC Bass Nation tournament of the season have been posted on the SC Bass Nation website—the same place you found your Bass Nation waiver. The direct link is posted on our page.

What a weekend for the Devildog Anglers! We had a great turnout for our first tournament of the season, and our anglers came ready to compete.

When the tournament was originally scheduled, temperatures and water conditions were extremely hot. With fish care and safety being our top priority, both the High School and Middle School divisions were limited to a 3-fish limit. That made for some extremely tight weights and meant every single fish counted.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Our top boat was an ALL-ROOKIE TEAM:

Congratulations to ALL of our anglers and boat captains! The results show the weights and finishing positions, but they don't show the preparation, teamwork, early mornings, long days, and determination that went into getting these fish to the scales.

A special congratulations to our rookie teams on an outstanding first tournament. You’ve officially gotten your first one under your belt, and we’re excited to see what the rest of the season brings.

One tournament down. Plenty more to go.

Now we turn our focus to fall fishing and getting ready for GREENWOOD!

BOATERS ONLY! Here is sign up for food tent and so forth for Lake Greenwood. It’s been posted on BAND APP ONLY!! The sign ups for food works better when you work with your fishing partner family. That way you only have to do it one time a year meaning whoever your fishing partner is try to work maybe together for one of the Saturdays tournament and like put the money together to get subs or a hotdog, pizza whatever is easier. You can either go in half for drinks or get someone else to do drinks and dessert. Which means 2 teams go in together. Some people just do 1 team split whole cost. Whatever works best. Why I do sign up. If nobody signs up then we will NOT serve any food. It can’t be same teams all year long bringing food or tent. That’s NOT right.

I know Diedra Bonn Mom is bringing Tent and a table to this tournament. I’m fixing to work on sign up for November tournament so when it’s over with on Halloween you can take stuff w you after tournament to bring for November tournament. If not you can get it at November meeting from Diedra. You can’t sign up here only BAND APP

For middle and high school students: Join us as we look inside SCDNR natural resources careers! Learn about the wildlife in your backyard and participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about how to gain natural resources skills through the SC Envirothon competition for high school students.

VIRTUAL RESULTS!!!

Congratulations to Colton Talbert with a strong finish in 1st place 87 inches!
Second Place goes to Jackson Houghton with 84.5 inches!
Third place finisher Nathan Marcia with 80.25 inches!

Biggest fish caught for this month goes to Jacob Conner with 21 inch TOAD!!!

This month has been a whirlwind of starts and new comers and big fish caught! Just a reminder if you don’t get out and fish there is no chance of placing in the top three. You have to want it and get out there and keep fishing! This is a GREAT start to the year and I am excited to see how it takes off from here. Also PLEASE pay attention to your picture taking and make sure you are getting every inch out of your fish. Some pictures are taken with the fishes mouth open and you are losing length by not closing the mouth and straightening the tail. Remember October meeting is this coming Tuesday the 6th at 6 pm.

All that being said let’s get freakin going for October!!! The code has been put out and IF YOU DO NOT JOIN THE TOURNAMENT YOU WILL NOT GET POINTS!!! Please, please, please, join the tournament and get after it. So proud of all of you and thankful that y’all are making the effort!

Attention Virtual Anglers:

Our September 5 Fish Tournament has concluded. The results will be posted within 48 hours. The October 5 Fish Tournament information is available on our Band App. We will no longer text each months id card and fish champ code so please check our band app for the information. Good luck everyone tight lines.

ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT — AND THIS RACE IS TIGHT!
With just two days remaining in our September Fish Challenge, the leaderboard is getting very interesting!
Can one of our NEW members, Jackson Haughton, hold off new angler Colton Talbert? Unofficially, both anglers are sitting at an incredible 83.5 inches!
But don’t count out Nathan Marcia. Last year, Nathan was one of our most consistent anglers and was always in the hunt for the top spot. He currently has 5 fish totaling 80 inches and is only one big fish away from making a serious move.
Sitting in 4th is another NEW angler, Luke Harmon, with 5 fish totaling 79 inches.
Rounding out the current Top 5 is Billy Simon, with 5 fish totaling 75.5 inches.
And here’s where things could get really interesting...
We have several anglers from 6th place down with 4–5 fish already on the board. One good fish could completely change the leaderboard before this challenge ends!
Nobody is safe until the clock runs out!
The September Challenge ends tomorrow night, and then we jump right into our October 5-Fish Challenge beginning October 1st.
All October Challenge information, including the ID Card and FishChamp Code, will be posted in the Band App.
Good luck to everyone in these final two days. Keep fishing, keep submitting those fish, and let’s see who can make that final push!

What a way to kick off our first tournament of the season! 🎣
We also had the opportunity to co-host the very first tournament with Gaffney. Thanks to an incredible group of parents, anglers, boat captains, and volunteers, everything went smoothly from start to finish.
I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for giving up your time, showing up early, staying late, and jumping in wherever you were needed. There are so many people who helped that I’m afraid I’ll leave someone out, but I want to recognize as many as I can!
