Next stop, Hawaii Square Dance Festival. My friend Jean and I decided to fly and started making plans. We were talking about it with other square dance friends and Patsy and Eddie decided to join us. What a blast we had for 6 days in Oahu.

Last stop on this road trip was Fontana Village, NC. October 19-22. Alabama holds this special dance every year in October with close to 200 in attendance. What a wonderful weekend. This was my second time at this event and I am signed up for 2024. If you can make it I would love to see you there

Total driving 5000 miles.

Next Stop Roanoke,VA. I was really concerned when no one showed up. However, I was able to get ahold of a member and found out it was scheduled for the next night a a beautiful mansion home that is now owned by the city.

Nice group of people there. Many learning to square dance. At this time they didn't have a caller but we were able to dance to records.

Thank you for providing a place to park my truck camper overnight.

My next stop, New Brunswick, NJ.

Rutgers Promenaders, they meet in a Care Center and had plenty of room for all of the dancers. Be sure to use the back parking lot.

It was really nice to see, Karie and Greg, there. I had met them at Northeast Callers School in Massachusetts.

I had a wonderful time dancing with The Town Howlers on October 14, 2023.

We danced a lot and everyone was so welcoming. Thank you for the hospitality and the wonderful gifts. The cookbook from you group will always remind me of my visit

Wednesday night lesson in Glastonbury, Connecticut. This was a first lesson and they learned so much, so fast. 11 squares on the floor with 40 new dancers. We all need to take note, it was a great evening. Finished up with ice cream Sundays.

October 4 was a challenging day. Vermont and New Hampshire had their lessons the same day and time.

I started in Vermont. The time for the class to start arrived and there were not enough dancers for a square. 6:30 pm

Lyndonville, VT square dancers came thru with flying colors. The caller had a two couple tip and I was able to dance.

Changed shoes and was off to North Conway, NH. A 78 mile drive. I arrived in the nick of time. I was able to dance the last tip there. 8:45pm

Friendship Squares October 3, 2023, New Sharon , Maine. Mike Dusoe is the caller. Had a great time and found out Mike is going to the school next week. So will see them again on October 5 in Massachusetts.
