Today is bittersweet. After much discussion with our family we have decided to close down the produce stand. Various reasons contributed, from rising produce costs to wages to even finding enough help, but ultimately we wanted to spend more time together over the summer with our three young children.

We want to thank Joedy Cecil and Gene Blades for 12 wonderful years of allowing us to use your properties. We started the stand as a Friday-Sunday operation, and quickly realized we could be open more often with adding Thursday and Monday. Soon after we were open 7 days a week. We’ve sold early season produce like strawberries and asparagus to balsam fir Christmas trees.

We’ve enjoyed getting to know the wonderful people that make up Trappe and we can’t thank you enough for your support!!!

It’s Labor Day! Today will be our last day of the summer. We’ll have limited supply of some things, but we’ll have plenty of white sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches, plums and seedless watermelon! We’ll be open from 10 to 4 today- thank you for your support this summer!

Open daily, 9 am to 6 pm! We have local sweet corn, tomatoes, cantaloupes, canary melons, watermelon, peaches, cucumbers, squash, string beans and honey! We also carry black plums, jams, blueberries and vidalia onions!
